<div style="width: 500px; text-align: center" align="center">Get ready zombie survival fans, eGO recently acquired a server on the standalone game, DayZ. When one hears "zombie" and "survival" as an adjoined genre, excitement starts to brew from subtle anticipation to outright suspenseful paranoia. First-time players will have a somewhat steep learning curve to get used to because of the multiple controls and functionality of the game. Others who are familiar with ARMA II will be accustomed to DayZ's play style since it uses the same physics engine (since DayZ started as an ARMA II mod).
DayZ is solely survival against zombies, players, and the elements. You start off with nothing but the clothes on your back, a flashlight and battery. If you want to have any hope of surviving more than 10 minutes in the game, find a backpack, water, food, and some sort of melee weapon. Avoid zombies as much as possible until you've got some decent supplies. It's a very suspenseful game when starting out because avoiding zombies and players alike is not always so easy. In fact, players are much more dangerous than zombies because most will try to kill you on sight and take everything you have.
The DayZ map is huge and can take a while to get used to. Figuring out where to go and who to group up with first is highly recommended because a loner almost never makes it far. Playing in groups with friends is encouraged because they can watch your back, give you supplies and it gives everyone a much higher chance of survival. If running from city to city blasting zombies, trail blazing, or camping out in airfields for unsuspecting players to come by appeal to you, come check out the eGO DayZ server!
