Microfone is not working

Hi,

Recently my mic is not working.
I really don't know why cause it always worked perfectly , and all the sudden it's dead , ive checked if everything is on , or muted but everything is on an full sound. still it's not working though. i got a build in mic.
i got this problem on a toshiba satellite c670-15z laptop

It could be any number of things. Next step besides checking if things are enabled are:

1. Open up 'Playback devices' Make sure nothing is muted.
2. Open up 'Recording devices' Make sure all devices are present.
3. Open up 'System > Devices and Hardware' Make sure all devices are present and enabled.
4. Test each device in 'Recording devices' to see if you get anything from any of them.
5. Try using a recording program with each of the different devices to see if any of them pick up anything.


IF everything checks out above and still no sound from the mic then it might be a hardware issue.
