Odd Behavior in game

Hey would anyone know the cause/solution of my steam games to Lag? not really bad lag but all other players around me in game move slow and rockets and such are slow moving as well, I have any average ping of about 50 and I just got an all new Machine hoping that my steam games would run better, there not sadly =/ any ideas?

ctrl-alt-delete, check ur procesess and make sure nothings taking up to much cpu usage, also make sure your steam isnt dling somthing. hmm.. if problem still persists get some anti-virus, anti-spyware/adware protection.

another option is to download [link=http://hare.dachshund-software.qarchive.org/url]hare[/link] and hopefully optimize ur graphx settings.

also go into ur tf2 and goto video and try putting everything on low. even if u should be able to handle it on high graphics, try it on low, might help to pinpoint the problem.

It might be a case of spyware/malware...

Do you have this problem with any other games? Or is it with this game only? All online games? etc..

Yea what I would say check for spyware/malware,defrag also if yea haven't already. Been awhile since format? Might try that if all else fails. Last resort though.

This was kinda touched on, but make sure you don't have any bandwidth sucking programs, Peer-to-Peer and the like, running in the background that can interfere with your bandwidth. Additionally, I used to have this problem and discovered that another computer on my network was downloading huge amounts of stuff, which was slowing down the data throughput overall. Once that computer was taken care of, everything went back to normal.

If you have a wireless router, make sure you don't have anybody leaching

If you have wireless... go wired I still hate wireless for gaming. What kind of machine are you on?
