Just wondering if we can have a little firmer rule about language in our servers, because it seems like its getting worse and worse. People were dropping the C bomb like nothing else today it was in every other chat message. No one stopped until I politely asked can you guys stop calling each other c**** and bitches? and then it was ok until like the very end of the game but it was driving me crazy.

Roger that brotha. I've only noticed it with a full house of pubs but never with 2 or more members.

For when I'm admining, If the language is towards other players, and is being disrespectful in general give the players a warning, and if it's a just non stop swearing, and they're being a foul mouth, than just kick them, after they've been warned. They will either get the message, or come back and want to be banned.

We have the rule, as Admins you are the ones that enforce it. If you are offended by the lack of player disrespect, then I would suggest that you give out a warning and if not heeded by the players begin kicking. If they return without learning anything about manners Tban and fill out a Ban request if you think further action is necessary.

tipton is my inspiration :D but yeah I usually after warning, I kick for sexually explicit phrases, curse words directed at other people/insults in general and if someone is being a foul mouth and I don't like it, and they don't stop after being asked to, I kick them. But yeah I generally try to be professional about it like "Would this be okay in a work environment?"

You guys rock. I know it can seem thankless at times, but it is appreciated.
Keep up the good work!

Yeah this is what I usually do however I'm seeing more people complaining about "power hungry" admins. Which I think is pretty silly but still it just sort of annoys me.

That happens and you just get thick skin. If they are upset that we ask players to respect each other then obviously they aren't the type of people we want in our servers. Just be vigilant.

Nice job guys. The degree to which you fret, ponder, seek advice from one-another about how to deal with these issues is a great illustration of why I, as one of the elder statesmen of eGo (in age, not authority, just to be clear, lol) stick around here instead of one of the gajillion other groups... and I've been a member of quite a few over the years. The immature kiddie-factor which, as a gamer you just have to accept to some degree if you want to actually play, is a huge turn-off for me... but so are the oft-seen knee-jerk/irrational responses I've encountered by administrators in other groups. Finding a balance is key and the deliberations I see/hear within eGo do just that. In short, I applaud your efforts gentle-and-not-so-gentle men (ladies too! if applicable).... 'tis much appreciated!
