So long, Farewell... We Shall Miss You!

At times, Leadership members are called to make hard decisions that might be unpopular, yet are a necessity to move forward and make progress. This is one of those times.

Many of you are or have been fans of de_highschool and the many variations of it. Through the years, many of us have spent countless hours on the server having fun and fragging. OR, if you were like me, hanging out in CT Stairs smoking each other out.

Unfortunately, the population of the server has dwindled in recent months and despite our best efforts, we could not breathe life into the server.

While we thank each and every one of you for sticking it out and trying your hardest to rebuild the pub base within the server, it just doesn't look like its a viable option for us right now. We support many servers here, and we need to allocate our resources appropriately.

I will speak to the Event Coordinators for possible new events such as "Highschool Night" and am looking at the possibilities of even porting over the highschool map for our CS:GO Server in order to have CS:GO Highschool Events. So, fear not, all might not be lost.

For now though, the decision has been made to release the Highschool Server at the end of the month.

You may enjoy yourselves on the server until then.

Oh man, the past month, I've made some memories on Highschool. Sad to see it go. 'Twas a lively and full server a few years ago when I first found eGO.

I'm going to miss whispering to Greazy in PLot and dominating David with a P90. Or a few years back when I watched people successfully get the awps or fail and die trying. Smoking plot and waiting for the CTs to come. Jumping out of T window and getting scouted in the face. Ah, the memories are too many to list

Well this was bound to happen. We just could not get the pub base back to the server.

While I am sad to see it go it is necessary as we just don't have the support for it right now.

Hopefully we can pick up the slack on the other servers as well now.
