Hey guys,

I just got the word that eGO will be dropping support for Dota 2 and moving it to General Gaming. Since I will be unable to host events after next weekend, events will also be coming to an end. I'll miss playing with you guys. :crying:

If you're sad about this, send leadership a dropbox. Maybe they would reconsider if there is enough support from the members.

Otherwise, I hope to see you in game the next two weeks. Let's let this go out with a bang!

It seems that Council does not want to support it because there isn't a lot of activity for it. I was hoping they would give an official answer in the clan meeting, but I didn't hear anything.

from an outsiders prospective blame LoL its has a stronger following than dota2

It doesn't have anything to do with LoL where "blame" is concerned. The Dota 2 community in eGO is just not very active in the forums and we largely restrict our interactions with each other to in-game stuff. LoL's popularity has no bearing on the amount of activity we chose to not engage in on the site.

I don't see why this should mean there are no more "events" though, as it doesn't preclude us from maintaining our friend lists. It was easy enough on Friday to get a 5v5 going out of nowhere, I suspect that will continue as long as there is motivation for it.

I will be unable to host events since I have military obligations that will keep me from being able to play on a regular basis, but you guys are more than welcome to get lobbies together on your own and be hosts.

But I like playin' with friends guys :C. Don't drop the support
