Yeah, and the only reason I don't do it tonight is cuz my roommate just got back from snowboarding, and it smells like someone died in here. Seriously. It's making me dizzy it's so bad.
Now, the computer I built, minus monitor, would do you well, it was about $900 without the monitor.

From Tigerdirect.com. They are constantly running specials, last I saw the MoBo/CPU/RAM had a $40 rebate and the video card had a $10 rebate. This drops the total down to under $750

so wich one is better?
What I listed has a case, monitor, and a really good video card. (Beats the other two). I'm assuming that you know how to OC because otherwise the e2180 won't really be all that great. But my brother got his to 3ghz and that's awesome. My e6600 got to 3.6ghz.

You're going to want a bigger tower if you're getting the 8800gt, not saying it won't fit but it will be pretty cramped expecially if you ahve a heat sink etc, I mean my friend has a Xion mid tower and it fits fine but his heat sink is touching both his psu and his gpu so...just depends on what you want. As well watch out for the artic cooler 7, because from what I read, it isn't compatible with a lot of core 2 duo processors. I would personally get a Zalman, which for mid range is about 40-50 bucks, and for one of the best its about 60...but depends on what you want
What do you mean it's not compatible with a lot of C2Ds? It's a socket 775 HSF so there shouldn't be any problem at all. It MIGHT not fit the motherboard too well but it should fit and looking at it's record on NCIX right now I'd say there isn't much for incompatibility. (178 reviews, 4.5 average).
After a bit of Googling the 8800GT should fit easily in the Sonata III.
