DOTA 2 support petition

Hey everyone,

As you may have seen in the post below, Council has decided to drop support for our community. I think we should show them why they shouldn't. So if you could please just take a minute to comment this thread and show your support I would really appreciate it.

3) Express how much you will miss the events and the DOTA 2 forum: Truthfully, the way things have been, I can't say I'd miss either very much. The forum has never been very active and events were infrequent at best.

I don't know why it really matters if the game forum is under Op:X or General Games, what changes at all? We're all still both here and in the game. I think if we're to get any official eGO "support" for the game, whatever that meant before, it would/should be in the form of a more dedicated leadership with time to manage more in-house games and a competitive team.

OpX is a division under eGO, thus people can be recruited into it and so on. General Gaming discussion is about misc games that (aren't or might not be) currently supported but have interest...

2) How long have you been playing DOTA 2? Dota 2 - since around early-mid beta. Dota in general - for a long while.
3) Express how much you will miss the events and the DOTA 2 forum: I'd like to still see events going since they were quite fun, not to mention I was thinking of a few ideas for some events, but the situation is understandable.

The forum has been a bit inactive, with the occasional topic..I think it's still useful though for various discussions on game-things or tournaments or thinking of ideas for events, etc.

I've played Dota for about 4 months

TS support for the Dota2 community has been very helpful in setting up team events, and it would be unfortunate to have it go down.
