Google Glass

Hey guys Google is letting people buy Google Glasses today only and I was picked about 6 months ago to beta test it and I wanted to get peoples feedback on the technology and how everyone sees it.

Its pretty cool how it works, but I am still a little skeptical about wearing it around places to go. I don't think that society is ready for this type of technology. http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/14/tech/mobile/google-glass-attack/

I am a police officer and I am basically taught that I am video taped all the time but civilians area little hesitant when I wear them at restaurants.

I want to know if your are planning on getting one, holding off for something else, or just a waste of money

I was picked for alpha testing last year in September~October area because I'm in the Army. I'm definitely picking up a pair myself, we have guys who wear them all the time outside of the base, since they aren't military-grade glasses.

Functionality wise, it's very awesome. The screen is out of the way yet easy to see if you need to access it. Camera isn't half bad at all, great replacement to a GoPro camera if you don't want something bulky strapped to your head.

Also, I like how they are made to fit prescription lenses. I have prescription lenses for driving and for reading small print so Glass allows me to add my prescription lenses, or pop on some tinted frames for when I'm outside.

and to think 30 years ago we only dreamed of having gadgets like on star trek and star wars now most of it is real

what will they come up with next??

and BTW no offense some of this stuff is making our younger generation lazier than those of us from the pre 1980's and early 90's era
