** Future eGO LoL Tournament **
Hey everyone, recently I've been speaking to leadership about the possibility of a tournament being hosted for the community and also use this to attract more people to eGO to be a part of our league community. I've been told the tournament can happen and I want YOU to let me know your opinions on what kind of tournament you would be most interested in. Please keep in mind that the vote is just to see what people feel like doing, there is no guarantee that anything voted will actually be selected as a tournament type. That being said, here is the strawpoll for it, vote up and I'll check back here in a few days to see what you all think !

What do you mean by individual signups?
By this, I mean that everyone will sign up individually and on the day of the tournament, or close to it, teams will be made based on solo queue MMRs. This means that the highest tier players will be matched with the lowest tier players and so on until all teams are about even, this is the team you will compete with for the entire duration of the tournament.
What's the benefit of a 1v1 or 2v2 tournament? Why would we want less people to get prizes?
Honestly, it's completely off preference, I've hosted 1v1s and 2v2s in the past and it's a little different not only because of the map it's on or the fact there is less people, it's played in blind pick! This makes it easy to create comps that could potentially be unbeatable because your opponents do not see what you are choosing. Also, this type of tournament is typically less intense/serious and people tend to have more of a fun time playing them.
When would this tournament take place?
We're looking to try to get this tournament set up for anytime between the middle and end of May. No dates are set yet as we are still in the planning stage but we will keep you updated as we move through the planning process!
I'm not that great at league, why should I sign up if better players are just going to be there and beat me?
This is why the individual signup is such a great idea. Recently other gaming communities have been adapting this same type of tournament of individual signup, it makes for a more laid back tournament setting and you get to meet new people in eGO that you maybe have never talked to! Remember, this is an event for fun, we're not competing at a professional level so come out and have a good time!
How do I sign up for this tournament?
I usually hold signups on a google document that I would post with the tournament rules when it's fully announced. This is one of the easiest ways to sign up for a tournament in my opinion, you will just fill out a small application on the tournament official post that will look something like this :
Summoner Name: Billy
Prefered Roles: Mid / Support
Solo Queue Rating: Silver 2
I will then take that information and place it in the google document ! You will have access to seeing this document to be sure that you have been signed up and if you have any troubles / questions about this, feel free to inbox me !
My friends want to join the tournament but are not able to post on the forums cause they are not a part of eGO, what do I do?
Use this opportunity to bring your friends into the eGO community! Rack up a referral for yourself and help get them involved with us and expand our League of Legends community! It's been a while since we've done something like this so I want this to be used as a way of not only bringing some eGO members that have left us back to the LoL division but to bring in newcomers and meet new summoners!
