First, I am not an instrument. Second, I knew I did the right thing by visiting the forums. These are adorable cats! (And dogs, I suppose. ) So glad you all shared!

And here is my sweet (but slightly vicious) cat, Attila!

This photo was taken last week. We just never put that Christmas pillow away.


EDIT: A little background to Attila. She was a feral kitten who hung around the yard and garage with her mother. One hot summer evening, she took shelter in the garage from the heat but was stuck inside when my father closed the garage door. We managed to catch her and kept her in a huge cage inside the house until she got used to our presence. (Not sure if that's the best way to assimilate a feral kitten. :X ) We named her the first night we got her, despite the fact that we couldn't pick her up again to check her gender. She was very fearful of us at first. Also, she has a short little tail that is super adorable. (Kinda hard to tell in the photo.)

That's my furball. He wasn't quite feral, more of a stray; came with the house I bought. Best guess was he was abandoned/chased out by a previous owner who got tired of his shenanigans. I think he's pretty cool. He fights dogs and doesn't afraid of anything. Of course I followed the Strict Rules for Dealing with Stray Cats when I took him in. At first he would lay on the floor in the middle of the living room where he could keep an eye on everything. If he sensed you were speaking to him, he would lay his ears back. Attempts to pet were met with teeth and/or claws. And he peed on EVERYTHING (including my g/f - I thought it was hilarious, she's still mad about it). Eight years later he's become the most affectionate cat I've ever had. Absolutely must be in the same room I am, follows me around outside, and always wants to play. He's like a kitten, except he's 10-11 yrs old now. Very vocal too; sounds like he's saying "spice must flow", but that can't be right. Still roams the neighborhood at night and fights everything he sees; any dog, most other cats, rabbits, large birds, and manatee.

This tired little fellow is Boo. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture with his face on me, so I'll get one later. He has huge adorable eyes.

And this guy is Scout. Yes, both kitties were named after characters from To Kill a Mockingbird
