I have an Alienware x51 and want to upgrade my card
Right now i am running Nvidia GeForce GTX555.

Now before anyone just blindly suggests a card please look at the size of the pc...that is a big thing i'm a little scared of..

Big thing? It's a big decision for a small PC... Why would you get a gaming desktop that has a slim tower design? Never mind, there has to be some logic to that decision, but as you're realizing now, when it comes to replacing or upgrading parts, it's going to become a pain in your butt.

Quick look, reviews tell me that they manage to fit in a full size video card. That's good news for you. The bad news is because of its POS design, you're really screwed when it comes to power supplies. You cannot replace it unless you modify the case to accept a larger PSU, which defeats/destroys the purpose of the slim design of the tower. 330 watts is how much power you got to work with in that case. One poster said that the best you can upgrade to is a regular (not OC'ed or modified with a different blower) GTX 670 or its AMD equivalent. Also, if you ever think of upgrading your RAM, you only have have RAM slots so don't think of trying to go with a quad setup.

Hey CampingCarl, once you do decide on an upgrade, what will you do with your gtx 555?

Looks like you'll have to buy a psu and a GPU, you'll have to do some case modding. If you leave the PSU outside of your case and just run the 6 or 8 pin cable into your case you would be fine.

Why not just switch to an ATX architecture case? Then you can get w/e you want. I these Mini-ATX, NSX, etc designs are junk. Either get a laptop or get a full ATX case. My advice.
