admin?

ToxicSocksWarrior

One doesn't apply for admin on eGO. You get admin by participating in events, being active in the community, following the rules, and helping others also helps!

Being in the Teamspeak server also helps!

^ oooo, congrats on your G, Gunner :D

But yes, what Gunner said. Being active is essential! Upcoming events can be found here. Information about TeamSpeak here. Having a presence on the forums and showcasing an eGO attitude helps greatly as well :)

Also if you notice someone who you think has the potential and you see admin material in someone you can always dropbox a promotion recommendation. Do not think it would be wise to dropbox yourself though but hey you never know lol. Hope this helps who knows someone might dropbox you in the future for a promotion. But as gunner and terror said being active on the forums and in teamspeak is your best bet at getting promoted. If you have any other questions or need help with anything do not hesitate to ask. You can pm me on the forums or find me in teamspeak if needed as well. Hope this helps.

The official exact definition of =(e)=

=(e)= members are admin recruits. They are learning the ways of eGO and getting to know everyone within the clan.
As full members of our community, e?s are held to higher standards than regular pubs on our servers.
Although admin is not given at this point, they are watched closely to see who is capable of being an admin.

This means what most of your fellow members above already have described.

1. Get yourself noticed: join our Ts3 Server Information can be found HERE.

2. Join Our events from time to time, Information of all events happening can be found HERE. ( Or join the css Steam group )

3. keep our servers clean, and warn the people who need to be warned. Help the players to adhere to the rules Wich are:

No foul, degrading, or racist remarks.
No inappropriate or disrespectful sprays or names.
All sprays and avatar icons used on eGO servers should be PG-13 rated. No nudity is allowed. Final decisions on what is acceptable are left up to the admins in the server.
No cheating, cheat scripts, barrier jumping, map exploits or hacks of any kind.
No griefing.
No F10 or Alt-F4 jokes.
No advertising in servers.
No names or sprays that advocate or oppose a political figure, political stance, religion or nation.
No website URLs in names, sprays or avatars.
No impersonating admins.
No arguing with admins.
Do not disrupt the server in any way.
Do not pester admins.
Admins have final say in server.
No Drug References

4. Like said above your presence on the forums Would also help.

There is also a unwritten rule about not asking for promotions haha. When we feel you deserve a promotion, believe me you'll get it.

I think this is more of a case of how Toxic can be more active within eGO and possibly become an admin. Not asking for a promotion

I think this thread is relevant. He wasn't saying 'Hey, look at me, promote me'. But more how one goes down the path. One could argue that just be applying to be an eGO member, you are applying to be an admin (although not everyone is going to go down the G and O route).

Regardless, I think advice and talking about what types of behaviors leadership looks for is not a bad thread at all. It takes some of the mystery out of things. I'd hope part of the CS Bros program is to teach new recruits not just about the fun of gaming, but also all that Edge Gamers has to offer (e.g. Admin, PSC, Event Coordination, Server Filling, the list goes on)

Great question, and excellent answers everyone!!
