We've decided to shut down the eGO server due to lack of participants. Our server averaged 5 players. Due to the high cost, and low participation, we had to chop it.

The eGO server was the first ever server I joined in DayZ. It did have very few people, but that's what made it fun for the new guys; it allowed us to run around and experience the PVE environment rather than walking a few hundred meters only to get sniped by someone in a ghillie suit.

But I do understand how much it costs to keep that kind of stuff running, and it definitely isn't worth it if there aren't many players playing on the game.

I was planning on playing there when I eventually bought DayZ, but I agree that it warranted the shutdown.

Id say personally eGO should look back into it 6 months in the future. Right now a persistent clan server just doesn't make sense. There really is nothing for players to keep coming back to the same server right now until they add in some more content like tents and vehicles that would keep a group of people or a clan to stick to the server to populate it. I hope in the future you guys can look back into it, as I was looking forward to having the eGO server as the home server for me and my friends.

Once the server goes into full beta and/or even a full release, we can always revisit the idea. Don't worry guys, we won't shut the door permanently.

If you guys feel as though the game's worth another shot, utilize the dropbox to let us know!

I was hoping to do a Camping video in dayz, I can't do anything else..I die with in 20 mins of playing every time :)

True dis, I got gifted DayZ by Christy and I feel bad about just giving it like 7 hours of gameplay but as it is in alpha I would totally play it again after some updates and bug fixes are out
