Hi! I know and have known for a long time about our community being from all over the world, now I'm a bit more curious. I like to study languages.

Now the first question I'm going to ask is, does anyone else have the same attitude towards different cultures/languages? If so, have you studied any in depth?

Next question, do you already live in a multi-cultural community? (Spanish community in the United States for example), or anything similar to that.

Next question, do you live in a country where you have both a vernacular language and an official school language? I know in India, they teach with English in schools, and have regional languages used outside of school, but still don't have the full cultural aspect similar to the question scenario above.

What languages do you speak/Dialects within those languages?

Last question, what is your skill to speak those above languages you listed?

I participate in the International Student Program at my university and it is super rewarding and I cherish a lot of friendships I have made with people all over the world. It is also a great way to absorb culture and practice any languages you might be interested in.

I am American so I speak American
I also speak English and I sort of speak Spanish (three years of high school language classes ftw)

I'm Taiwanese and I'm studying in the UK.
I've also learnt Spanish for about 3 years during my time here.

Fluent:
Mandarin
Taiwanese
English (American accent with a touch of British accent)

Can't speak or listen Spanish fluently, but can write it relatively well.

I'm southern American, with an Atlanta accent but I have been studying french for about 5 years, and I am minoring in it.

I am Danish and I consider myself rather fluent in Danish . luckily. .
I am also fluent in English.
I speak French, German, and understand swedish and nor we gain. .until they start speaking.

In Denmark, English is mandatory in school, and later on in school it is mandatory to choose either german or French to learn.
So I consider Denmark a rather multilingual country.

It's been awhile since I've studied languages, though they're mostly in beginner level.

I'm only fluent in Hmong and English, but I still need to learn how to read Hmong (sad, I know).

My native tongue is English. I spent 9 years learning to read, write, and speak Hebrew. I have not needed to use Hebrew for a few years now, but if you were to throw me in Israel and give me a day or two I would be able to to get around no problem. Perhaps some grammatical mistakes here and there.

Other than those two, I have studied Spanish for about 6 years. Living in Florida, where 20% of the population speaks Spanish on a native level, and where I live there are many Hispanic communities, there is always time to practice. There is actually a Hispanic grocery store nearby that attracts a large Hispanic population, the employees are Hispanic, ect. Prices are good, only slight communication issues.

tl;dr
English - Native
Hebrew - Conversations are no problem. Can read, write, and speak Hebrew. Could live in Israel with a little practice.
Spanish - Enough to get around a Hispanic community and do what I need.

I also speak Internet.
