New Comp

I've had the same comp for 5 1/2 years and it's dying. Every day it gets a little worse and it's finally to the point where it refuses to be reformatted and files have degraded to the point that programs randomly start failing and half to be reinstalled. So, I'm looking to buy a new one. I've never built my own comp(only changed some parts around) so any assistance would be appreciated. I pretty much just need a gaming computer that's just below top-notch. I don't need to spend twice as much for something brand new that'll be outdated and on sale 3 months later. I've been looking at that site GG stuck up top but since I'm new to this I could definitely use some assistance.
