Just stumbled upon this neat little game called Tagpro. A lot of reddit people are in on it. It's pretty active because of that.
It's a browser-based capture the flag game that you can get into in minutes. There is no installation needed, and can be played without an account (I recommend an account though). Pub games usually last 3-10 minutes, PUGs in mumble are 10. Skill ceiling is pretty high, but even a noob will get some good play time in from the start.
Oh and it's very addicting.
