Dark-Lighting Glitch?

I don't know what's going on, but for some reason I entered a server playing Donner just now and I noticed weird Dark-Lighting textures and at certain angles it would light up properly. Sandbags, window frames, and certain areas that are usually dark are lit up a bit more. Has anyone else experienced this before?

I've deleted most of DOD except the maps, downloads, and my cfg folder and hoping the verify works. But if it's a graphical glitch I don't know whats up because DOD:S hasn't really updated to cause this problem.

Is it possible my mobo/integrated graphics card going bad?

Added some pictures. You can clearly see something wrong.

I tested to see if it had something to do with my DXlevel and it seems either the source engine has abandoned 8.1. Putting Dxlevel 85 seems to have fixed the issue.

Now, DXlevel 85 doesn't work. Switching DXlevels in-game however to 81 seems to work. I honestly don't know what's wrong. It wasn't like this after the update. Only thing I can think of is the lighting info for the map is corrupted somehow. Even though deleting and verifying to redownload the map didn't work. Kind of stumped on what's going on. I've never experienced an issue like this.

Everything above is fixed now. Everything below is now the new issue.

I now have audio lag for no reason. I've tried deleting the soundcache VPK's, changing audio quality, restarting sound, and record and stop a demo, but it doesn't fix the issue.

Example: Shooting a nade to the ground there's a half a second delay to hearing the nade hit.

Example 2: Shooting a pistol until the clip is empty to the reload animation, but during the reload there's still a shot going off.

There is no fps or connection lag.

Try verifying integrity of the game cache.. If you right click Day of Defeat Source in steam, click properties, go to local files and click on it from there.

Done all of it, everything I can think of. I think STEAM some how FUBAR my config files. It changed my max fps and my cl_detaildist. I've now set my cfg to read only. Even reinstalling 90% of the game (deleting custom skins for other servers, etc) but keeping my maps, screenshots, it still continues to have the issue.

I have also deleted steam cloud in hopes to redo everything, we'll see.

WTF? Really.

echo "MaxFPS Config Loaded"
echo "Gmod, Kyuki Config 5/17/14"

I was correct. Somehow my Gmod cfg went in with my DOD:S cfg. How is this even possible?

That's very odd. The re-install will for sure fix your problem though. Good luck!

Leave it to Gary's mod to break everything :|

It's giving me command lines in console on DOD:S that Garrys mod probably uses. I honestly do not know how the hell this happened.

Might not be the case, but this sounds something like Admin Slowhack. If not that then not sure what else

Steam Support entry:

Don't think that was the problem. It was clear somehow my Gmod cfg went into the DOD:S cfg folder (the autoexec).

Only issue I'm having now is the audio. Updated my audio drivers to the current version didn't fix it. Looking to see if a Windows Update or reinstalling audio/video codecs might fix the issue right now.

Now steam is saying the only game installed is Gmod. Wtf?

Somebody say G-mod?

But I think you might have to bite the bullet and re-install everything. I'm overdue for my annual rage-reinstall of Steam and/or Windows.
