tf2 steam group events

earlier today gardengrove was asking other members from the other servers to come into the 24/7 ctf_well server. i was just wondering if instead of asking random members, if we ( and we is meant as in the admins) use the tf2 steam group event announcer. that way you can send a mass announcement to populate certain servers. you could also use it to plan "party" nights which can jump from server to server that way you can get people to populate the servers more readily. anyways its just my 2 cents. dont know if anyone cares if not, thanks for your time.

We acctually (well I set the events up on the group, the scrim/funstuff captains set it up on the forums) but not everyone is in the steam group so half of the others wouldn't see it thats why we aswell post it in the front page plus their are some changes made a few minutes before like we had last night which wasnt a really big deal for me to edit the events on the steam group we do set it for partys Especially i have set the tf2 one in advance for our special day Feb 11th for everyone to jump in a server, go on the websites.

Also one thing that ruins this idea is that somepeople take off the popsup from happening be it that they dont like them or when in game it distracts them but like I said not everyone in Edge Gamers is in the group

I saw the popup minutes before the event took place and was fortunate enough to not be busy to squeeze in 45 minutes of TF2. It was pretty awesome playing hallofdeath. Had a blast with that and will keep an eye out for more events!

I usually come strolling upstairs after a night of drinking ... errr ... reading the bible ... and discover that something started a few hours before, and has long ended. I'm hoping to remedy that soon.

maybe a good idea would be to start adding the members into the eGO steam group as they come! but then again, that would be quite a but of work at first because we are so behind on that
