Steam engine studdering?

Hello. This is a problem that has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now. While on a DoD may, my game will all of a sudden begin to studder. Doesnt last long, maybe 4-6 seconds. So far is doesnt seem to be happening in other games, but only one that ive tried other then DoD would be Wildstar.. So not sure if this could be a internet issue, or a hardware issue.

Heyo, i am. I did a bit of reading and a few people said it may be caused by avast virus protection. I just removed avast about an hour ago, so still waiting to see if that has fixed the issue or not.

When this issue was occurring it was not just limited to DoD, this was a source wide valve issue. There is a thread for CSGO that had over 2,000 replies from people mimicking the same problem mostly affecting those with Nvidia cards. I was receiving the same issue but after valve and Nvidia pushing an update, all is well again.

When this issue was occurring it was not just limited to DoD, this was a source wide valve issue. I would like to note that you just made zero sense as he also said it happens in Wildstar, a game not even offered on steam's store and is not related to valve or its company in any way, shape or form.

I would say it sounds like a driver issue but if it only happens once while playing for 4-6 seconds, is it really that big of a deal? Have you checked to see if all of your drivers for everything are up to date and that you arent running anything that could be stressing the computer in the background?

If is affecting more games then alright clearly I was wrong, but I was going off him purely saying it is affecting DoD. This would directly affect the route of testing. Also please try not to be rude next time when you poorly try to correct someone and place them on ignore on steam.

SO far, it seems to be fine. But i havent been able to get on long enough to make sure. But yes, only in DoD so far. And i have a ATI card :/ So im hoping it came down to just being the avast anti virus. *crosses fingers*
