Photoshop Help

Hello everyone,

This is a thread going out to anyone experienced in Photoshop (Mine is CS5) to help me with my dilemma.

Now, I used to make signatures and pictures with nice affects, such as this:

For the life of me, I can't remember how I did any of this and I want to start doing it again.

My question: Is there any way I can tell exactly how I made this picture?

I still have all the .psd files for all my pictures with all the layers included.

Seeing as you have the .psd files (original) from when you made them try looking at the history panel. Click on window and check the history option. That would hopefully bring up all the actions you preformed on that image. I could be wrong but that's what I have done for images I have worked on!

The only history I have is opening Photoshop and then opening that specific .psd.

Unfortunately if you don't turn on history, you can't view it. If you can't step forward (Shift + Ctrl + Z) or step forward (Alt + Ctrl + Z) then you can't view your process.

Also, if each layer doesn't have an effects panel (right click + blending options or FX drop down at the bottom of the layers panel) than you can't view those changes either.

Other than those two things, there isn't much you can do. However, if you have any questions on how to do signatures, effects, etc. I'd be happy to help you.
