Ask the London Blitz. 70 Years isn't really all that long in the grand scheme of things. Today, the 6th of June here in the Western Hemisphere, and the Western United States, marks the 70th anniversary of the the Normandy invasion. At this time, 70 years ago, more than 250,000 American, English, Canadian and Free French forces had came ashore in the second largest amphibious operation in history. Thousands died in minutes. The Wehrmacht, assisted by the 12th SS Panzer, fought like a cornered dog for every inch they gave up. Remember today gentlemen and ladies, to have a beer in honor of those who died valiantly 70 years ago to end the greatest war.
