You're way overthinking this. In fact, you presented the true meaning but were so blinded by the obvious that you ignored that which was right in front of you. Let's look at the phrase again: "stairs to nowhere". First off, count the words. There are 3 words. Now, let's count the letters. There are 15 letters. 15 is a multiple of 3. "sta irs ton owh ere" can be broken down into 5 sets of 3 letters each. 5 is the first prime number to come after the prime number 3. 5 is also the next number in the Fibonacci sequence after the number 3. See that pattern here? Those stairs are an announcement to the world that Half Life 3 is coming.
I find your calculations interesting. However there is one crucial aspect you are missing. Did any one of you even once consider the number of steps on said stairway? An interesting counter-claim however # of letters is insignificant in the English language. For example, "A" and "through" have the same amount of syllables, and a greatly different amount of letters. Thus if we are to examine the phrase and not it's content we need to do the following observation.
There is: 1 phrase, 2 meters, 3 words, 4 syllables, 5 letters (X3). Now the important thing to notice about the syllables is it forms two meters. For those of you who may not be poetically well versed. "Meter refers to the pattern of syllables in a line of poetry. The most basic unit of measure in a poem is the syllable and the pattern of syllables in a line, from stressed to unstressed or vice versa. This is the meter. Syllables are paired two and three at a time, depending on the stresses in the sentence." - iambicpentameter.com. Now, these meters follow the pattern of a Trochee, one stressed syllable followed by one un-stressed syllable. "STAIRS to NOwhere" Now the most famous trochee ever written is the raven by Edgar Allan Poe. The raven contains 108 lines. Now for the mathematical part. Remember the first sentence? good. 108/1= 108. 108/2= 54. 54/3= 18. 18/4= (9/2). (9/2)/5= (9/10). (9/10)X3= (27/10). Thus half-life three is not confirmed. Yet half-life 2.7 is.
There's like a million stairs! It would take some kind of genius to count them all.I find your calculations interesting. However there is one crucial aspect you are missing. Did any one of you even once consider the number of steps on said stairway?

Kelp comes back 12 years later with a full beard, bloodshot eyes, and a number scribbled on a piece of paper. The second he hands me the paper he, with a whimper, says "Remember me!"Challenge accepted.
