Get on your flip-flops and your sun tan lotion. It is time for the premier event of the season...
As your Division Leader, the exigencies of the situation before this entire Division impel me to speak the truth - wholly, frankly, and boldly. Now is not the time for us to shrink from confronting the hurdles that stand before us. For too long, we have been content to stand by and watch from the gallery as our Division falls into disarray and, most recently, the closure of one of our servers, with two more under dire scrutiny. However, this great Division will endure as it has endured, will revive, and will prosper, provided we remember that we should not look at the challenge in every opportunity but rather the opportunity in every challenge.
There are many ways in which our Division may be helped, but it can never be helped by merely talking. We must act - now. The pledge to you is Leadership's resolute support in all endeavors but especially turning around our beloved Egypt server. To that end, we shall keep the server alive with ten full weeks of sun, sand, and silliness: week-long contests to generate and sustain Egypt's rise from the ashes. The winner of each contest will receive a bounty of prizes and glory everlasting as did the pharaohs of old, knowing that he or she contributed to the Division in its hour of need.
Every week, this thread will be updated with the newest contest, and participants can post here with entries. On August 30, 2014, our contests will be over. The arduous days of summer that we face can only be overcome with unity and cooperation. We aim at the assurance of a permanent retention of our servers. May Egypt's rank shine brightly with glory at summer's end!
