Overkill has outdone themselves once again with content and story that sets them apart from many other gaming developers. PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that lets gamers descend upon Washington DC for an epic crime spree. Now, they are making headlines for some exciting new downloadable content.

The heist involves the Benevolent Bank, more commonly known as the Big Bank, which has never been robbed. You?re about to make history as you plan and execute the ?perfect heist', robbing the biggest bank in PAYDAY history, bigger than the World Bank in the original PAYDAY The Heist.

There is no better way for the game developer to introduce the new pre-planning feature of the game than with this heist. With pre-planning, players are presented with a blueprint of a heist before the match begins and can draw routes and strategic spots on that blueprint. Your ability to plan ahead will directly correlate to your ability to succeed with your mission.

Some members of our community are enjoying the new content already. We spoke with Dead Tom, who is probably the biggest PAYDAY 2 fan in eGO, and not only has he played the new content, he has beaten the Big Bank heist already as well. Dead Tom says, ?It?s quite a heist. You spend a lot of time in the beginning planning and the map itself is huge.? As Dead Tom confirms, this heist is no joke. ?The complexity makes it unique. There are a lot more steps involved. It?s very hard to stealth the whole thing as there are many sections to the vault.?

In addition to the new heist, you will get the Falcon Rifle (equivalent to the FN FAL rifle in real life) and its weapon mods, new masks, and 10 new, heist-specific achievements. You do not need to purchase the DLC to play the new content, but if you want to host your own game of the Big Bank, you will need to purchase the DLC ($6.99 on Steam, possibly less during the summer sale). I LOVE big bank. Took us a while but me and my buddies actually stealthed it. Pre-planning is AMAZING. Totally worth the money to get the DLC but remember, you don't NEED the DLC to do the job, you can just join a game hosted by someone who DOES have the DLC.

I'm very tempted to buy the game, but I herd that you need to play it with some friends or otherwise the experience is not as amusing as it sounds.

I wouldn't quite call it a dull game if you don't have friends to play it with (unless you refer to the bots, they're pretty much dumb as rocks), but it helps. For every 10 rooms you go into to pug, I'd say it's about 50/50 on the makeup in terms of people who actually know what they're doing.

Typically I get good pug groups, but today for example I had one guy who decided to lone wolf in another corner of the Big Bank vault lobby, including his two ammo bags. All the while I'm right in front of the vault defending with my Brenner LMG and running out of ammo and the other two are busting open the deposit boxes inside the safe with a saw. Needless to say, once I ran out of ammo I had to retreat back into the vault (about the same time said lone wolf went down) and we ended up wiping.

Besides, you've got a pretty good amount of people here who play!
