anyone know why the tf2 avatars no longer show for me in the score board on any of our servers.

I believe someone changed a server setting so that avatars on our server's are disallowed. There were to many instances where people had inappropriate avatars, so we just completely got rid of them.

you are correct existance they were talking about it today in one of the servers

random ones will still show
is this related to players list in steam community not showing up? cant add friends from our servers

ye its a pain cos we can no longer view peoples community page. so see their clans their in and wat not. and adding ppl to ur friends list

I keep forgetting to confirm this on my end. For those that have the problem, are you logged into Steam Friends? If not, those functions won't work.

no in game - I could see everyone's avatar.

So the solution to dealing with individuals with inappropriate avatars is to disallow them entirely? Really?

well i got a reply from steam so here it is


A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello,

Please exit Steam, then go to the C:\Program Files\Steam directory (this is the default with a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it), and delete all of the files except for:

Steam.exe

And the folder:

\SteamApps\

Then restart Steam. This should correct the issue.

As long as you have a backup, I don't see it as being too bad. I might try it once I get home.

Wondering the same...It seems as though only mine and several other people out of 32 have their avatars showing.

but dustbowl and all the other servers dont show..
