Can anyone tell me why my skill has dropped about 100 points over the last two days of play?
I really can't tell why....
My Kill ratio is decent.

What are some of the factors used to award or retract skill points?

Everytime you kill someone you get points based on their skill level compared to yours. If many people who are well below your "skill" level kill you, they drain points off you. So, even if your KPD goes *up*, if all of those deaths were to people who are new to our servers, your overall skill rating will go down.
 
Dont forget there's other people playing and getting better and sometimes they push you out of your spot.
 
He was asking specifically about his skill points, though. Yeah... even if you don't lose points, you can still lose placement because people bypass you.
 
Yeah I've been losing my position pretty rapidly as well... So I've just stopped caring as much, now I just play to have fun. :)

btw, i noticed that when i played Convoy it would give the detail on who you killed, their skill compared to yours and the points it was worth to you.
It would be cool to see that on Dustbowl as well...
