Anyone successfully get the Synapse 2.0 to install properly?
If so how?
I bought the Deathadder on 7/07/14, followed the install instructions given in the Deathadder booklet, the update kept stalling at 30%. So I Google the issue and even though the issue has been about for a year or more Razer still hasn't fixed it nor is there a workaround/fix that I found yet.

The following is the email with Razers "support":
Hello Leon,
Thank you for contacting Razer Tech Support. My name is Aaron and I will be assisting you with your case involving the Razer DeathAdder 2013.

As I understand, Synapse 2.0 does not recognize your mouse. Updated once, plugged in device, constantly re updating.

Is your mouse working fine as a basic plug and play device?
If it is working as a basic plug and play device, please try the following troubleshooting steps below.
1. Uninstall Synapse 2.0 from your computer and restart when prompted. If you are upgrading from a Legacy driver, please uninstall it from your system and once again restart when prompted.

2. Download and install the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework (3.4 or 4 ) at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21 (In some cases, you may need to uninstall the older version on your system).

3. Download and install the latest version of Razer Synapse 2.0 at http://www.razerzone.com/synapse2 using Run As Administrator. Click "OK" or "Allow" on UAC (User Account Control) notifications and restart when prompted by Synapse.

If you continue to have trouble getting your Synapse enabled product detected, ensure that the device is plugged directly into your system (back USB ports) and/or try the product on another computer.
Please update me on the results of the troubleshooting steps above in your reply and we will see how we can proceed from there.
Thank you and I look forward for your reply.
Best Regards,
Aaron S.

My response for what I've tried:
"As I understand, Synapse 2.0 does not recognize your mouse. Updated once, plugged in device, constantly re updating."
Allow me to restate that. The bubble over the tray icon says: Razer Synapse 2.0 Configurator; Razer Deathadder 2013 detected. However the program immediately tries to download the same update over and over again. And the main GUI(?) does not show any options for setting up the mouse it just says to "Please Connect a Razer Synpase 2.0 enabled device."

These are the steps I took from a post (pknova said: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1701761/razer-deathadder-2013-stoped-working-completely.html ) I found on the subject:
1)Uninstall razer synapse 2.0 (ensuring to unplug deathadder before doing this)
2)Used regedit to clean out any left over registry entries as well as uninstalling device driver in Device Manager
3) reboot computer
4)reinstall synapse 2.0, update begins and goes to 100% keeping death adder unplugged
5) reboot computer
6) once windows has fully loaded back up and synapse has started ensure no more updates are needed then plug in Deathadder-----> I already got the Synpase 2.0 update at this point and without plugging in the mouse no updates are available, I then plug the Deathadder back in and get this----->
7)As soon as Deathadder is plugged in it begins the SAME update and gets stuck at 30% before saying it cannot complete. Check internet connection and Try Again. Internet connection is fine!

"Is your mouse working fine as a basic plug and play device?"
Yes it is usable.

Followed your steps and got the same result. Still trying to update the software and still stalling at 30%. I allowed the program in windows firewall and even added an exception in Microsoft Security essentials. is there a compatability mode i should use with Synapse? I have windows 7 Home Premium. Shouls I have Synapse 2.0 start up under administrator rights? (will try that right now.)

Sorry it's so long, couldn't find the spoiler in the icons.

I already discovered that Razers ability to code is crap, their support is as bad as EAs, and alot of people are unhappy with most Razer products due to these reasons.
I'm hoping a solution can be found as the mouse is very comfortable and responsive. was looking forward to playing BF4 with a High DPI/Low sensitivity since my old mouse didn't have such options.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank You

I dont see the problem if your mouse works fine as a plug and play option... The synapse is not a NEED to download application for any razer product from my knowledge. (Except maybe a very select few headphones and keyboards?)

Synapse has been around for a while and frankly the way they determine a product usable on synapse is borderline stupid. My mamba, which cost me $120 new cant even be read on synapse and wont be usable with synapse. Yet their price point 30-60$ mice are? I figured the option for a program to edit colors on the scroll wheel would come as a perk of a more expensive mouse...

Edit: Looks like they finally did add the mamba to their program.

I mostly want the program so I can set DPI for FPS games like BF4 and since there is an on-the-fly DPI setting would like to use that as well to switch for infantry/gunner/heli.....etc. So far I haven't found a 3rd party alternative. My previous mouse (Logitech Darkfield MX) did not have such options and the left-click was messing up with sticking, not responding, click once but get a double clck. So I bought this hoping to do the High DPI/Low Sensitivity set up to hopefully improve my accuracy/response, etc.

Not phone. Currently doing the very slow email process. Just got a response that the initial help guy is transferring the case to another person who has yet to contact me.
Razers software and support are crap. Like the mouse feel and responsiveness, not impressed with anything else. Very disappointing.
Upon some extra research I may just trade this in and get an Anker mouse. So far all the reviews I've checked out say it's a great mouse.

EDIT: Nevermind. I took it back today and placed an order with Amazon for the Anker 8200 DPI mouse. Razer just took too long to respond to the issue and the problems with the software have been present since it came out with NO fix and NO workaround.

Just because summit1g is getting the FK1 doesn't mean its an amazing mouse. :p Like he says... Its practically the same thing as a steelseries sensei except without the optical laser. lololol!

Honestly I have never heard of zowie until summit talked about it on his stream.

Back on topic - You should've called. Sounds like you were just impatient with them over it. A 15-30 minute call would've saved you 3-5 days worth of hassle. Razer is a fine company and frankly, I dont know where you guys are getting your horrible support from. (Referencing everyone saying their customer support is crap and what not.) When I purchased my mamba, it had a few laser problems and a couple of buttons were broken off the get go. Called up razer and it didnt take me more than 15 minutes to get a new shipping label provided by them and had it replaced. Their customer service is fine. You just need to have patience. Large companies tend to have large consumers... Stuff can take time.

I agree about the patience thing. I didn't know I could call them. However this issue has been reported for a long time now. Since the Synapse 2.0 was put out. Having it fixed by now should've been a top priority for Razer, that way when someone buys their product and installs the software it is at least working out of the box so to speak. I did like the ergonomic feel of the mouse, the button placement was fine and the response of the mouse was great but it was way too light for my caveman grip. That also factored into my decision to return it, as well as the BSOD when I got the update to go through. Though the software STILL wouldn't show the mouse configurator and would constantly keep trying to re-download the same update over and over. I was going to wait it out for the fix but my impatience got the better of me and I took it back.
I ordered the Anker 8200 dpi mouse and it is great so far. A minor gripe about the side button placement but all in all a very good and responsive comfortable mouse. AND the software worked out of the box.
