All TF2 Outpost Users

If you have used TF2 Outpost in the last 3 months or so you may have gotten a friend request when you put up or bump a trade. These requests are from accounts that have already been phished. They will message right away if you accept and say:

patricia.vicente2: Hey mate.
patricia.vicente2: My friend wanna trade with you.
patricia.vicente2: Add him please
<false steam log in here>

The first thing you should do is block them and then report them to steam:[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN3XYHbKLt8"]report them to steam.[/ame]
I know most people know about this, but still some don't and hopefully this will help.

Yep.
All you need to know is that if someone really wants to trade you, they're not gonna have their friend with 0 hours on TF2 tell you to add them.

I was talking with another TF2 Player and he said he still has the same users with the same name on his Blocked User list from weeks ago, but if you're right, then yes this would be useless.

This has been a thing for months. I fell for it at the beginning of a big surge of these guys. They have hundreds if not thousands of different accounts.

There isn't a single person I know who hasn't seen one of these guys.

A list of names probably wouldn't be very useful but I'm ok with a thread here about it. It's good to be aware of these things. And even if most of us know already, if the post can save even one of our members from an account hijacking, then I'm good with that. Be safe people.

I haven't - don't trade But, I have some Nigerian Princes that I exchange emails with all the time.

It's just like Skype; you wouldn't add someone named "rosie.lust23" without any justification for their invite. (Yes, there was a name with "lust" in it that wanted my contact.)

Accept all the friend requests and just troll them. As long as you don't click on any links they send you, you're fine. :laugh:

Some of my most fun conversations on steam happen this way. Of course, this was before the bots; bots aren't very fun, they don't respond :/

I'd troll them, but they log off as soon as I send them my response...
