[Realism Campaign 11] Grave News and Animals

Congratulations to the fatherland in our great triumphs this week, under great strain and pressure, we came forth and fought hard and well against the enemy, for which your commanders are pleased.

I can only fail to understand the horror that this news has brought to you all. He may have been a little crazy, claiming to be a previous commander in another life, but he served both my squad and his countrymen well. Despite his unashamedly focused, effective and energetic efforts, Mavwreck was killed in action in last week's battle. He is posthumously promoted to Hauptmann for his bravery and courage during his last minutes in the battle of Troddle. We will all feel his absence over the rest of this campaign.

The following message was sent to the front by Mavwreck's grieving widow (pictured here in better times with her loving husband):

I appreciate the well-wishes of all of my late husband's brethren from the front, and the support of their families here at home. Please know that he spoke fondly of all of you, and was honored to fight by your side. I pray that you will remember him well, and continue his fight to defend our families and our Fatherland.

Our eldest drew this for his father, but never had the chance to send it. Please share it with the Oberf?hrer and the rest of the division.

It's been a fun campaign - I just wish I wasn't missing so much of it. I'll be out of town for a week and half or so. Kick those Ami jerks out of Europe while I'm gone!
