Division Transfer

Hey Guys,

I'm new to CS:GO, but not new to eGO ( I have been an eGO twice, but with the complications the cod division has had.. I have lost it ) :-) I am coming from the Call of Duty division, and very much interested in a division transfer. I have enjoyed my time at call of duty, but since the game has been dead and I had my last bit of fun in CEVO i'm ready to move on.

I'm very new to CS:GO, I don't know all the maps yet. I'm only a Gold Nova II in the competitive lobbies. I recently signed up to ESEA, as I'm a very competitive person and love the competition aspect of games ( Yes, i get curb stomped in any ESEA pug.. but thats how you get better right? ). I was on the comp team in eGO and played in CAL, TWL, CEVO, ESL, and many other miscellaneous tournaments in Call of Duty. Due to being very good in COD, it's frustrating for me in CS:GO to not be doing well. That is one of my struggles i'm still trying to deal with, I know with time I will get there :-)

My favorite thing to do is scrim, and better myself as a player ( That is one of the reasons i LOVE CS:GO with the built in competitive mode!!!!! ). Unfortunately I have a LONG way to go in CS:GO, this game is so much different than cod ( In many ways I love it, I'm just not used to it yet )..... That includes, not moving while shooting LOL!!! Such a basic principle right? and for some reason my head wants to strafe jump... that cod...

Anyway, I'm looking into getting plugged in with a group of guys who would be willing to help out. In COD, I was always one of the guys to help others but with my lack of CS, experience I am the one in need of help hehe..

I have never done a division transfer, so i'm hoping for someone to point me in the right direction. I am very much looking forward to playing with you guys soon :-)

Well since CoD is no longer a division I'd imagine you just send a PM to one of the CS DLs, Ric or Zimmy, saying you are switching.

It's great that you want to jump into competitive play but honestly I would put off ESEA for now, especially if you are new. ESEA is a whole different beast in competitive play and you may have noticed that the people there aren't the nicest people in the world. I would matchmake with friends until you are able to learn the spots of all the competitive maps with decent aim before even considering ESEA.

Yeah, getting beat is part of the game and that's how you learn but getting a complete beatdown every match won't teach you much. Even now I hardly ESEA because some of the players there are really good and the environment is just too toxic for me.

Wow what a great post, spark

Hey, if the transfer succeeds, welcome to the CS Division. Come chat with us on TS3. We always like to play comp together or throw a scrim on our comp server. You, of course, are welcome to join us.

Hey Raz*r, I hope your transfer goes smoothly and to help that happen I noticed that your MAUL is not actually verified, you have entered your steamid but haven't verified it to do so just join any CS eGO server with the account matching the steamid you've entered.

If you have any issues either PM me or come on TS and speak.

Isn't switching divisions as simple as going into your settings and changing which division you belong to? (Admin setup excluded of course).

You have to notify each divisions DL's that you're swapping and if they think it's okay that you swap (Normally is fine all the time) and then you just change your division tag, yeap.

Thanks guys!

I haven't heard back from Ric yet, so I haven't gone through to swap the tags.

@ExOH: Thanks I'll try to get that verified tonight. You said you need to notify *each* division DL. Do I need to send a PM to Zimmy as well?

@Cheezyshooter: I can't wait to scrim again, that is one of the things I miss most about cod not being around... I have a lot to learn in CS, as far as spots/callouts and what not goes. I hope you guys can help get me trained up quick :)

I meant a DL for either division however COD is not a division anymore so just await Ric's response :)

(early) welcome to the CS division! Hope to see you on the servers and add me on steam if you wanna play competitive sometime. I'm a gold nova 1 right now and I'm always looking for people to play competitive matches with.
