Battlefield 3 metro, what happened?

Was playing on metro 24/7 (BF3) and it looked like the server went down. I went to log back in and although it looked correct up until it actually loaded the game 2 things were immediately obvious. First it went from a 64 player map to a 32 player map but after it loaded all I got was a black screen with a flashing white curser at the bottom right corner. Tried it several times, server listing said it had 27 players in it and it logged in and loaded as above. I restarted my computer, reset Origin and tried again, same thing. Then I went to another server and it worked fine. Any Ideas?

This was a glitch with the server, not your game. It may have had something to do with the adaptive plugin but I don't know for sure, The server is back up and running now so I hope to see you on it

Thanks, but.... I went back and it updated to 48 players, from 32. It let me into the game but just a few mins into it, it crashed again. I've seen similar issues when a server got hacked. At any rate what ever is happening is still going on. No worries, as soon as it up and working correctly I'll be back.
You might want to reload the server.

Well it's back! You might want to take a look at player "AnonraTR" Ping near 200 and had over 160 kills at half time. Even team members were saying so. But it seems we cant kick vote.
