AFKs?

remember to be patient with your admins, guys - there are a lot of times when there are just one or two admins helping on a server, and they're trying to keep things moving smoothly, so if someone doesn't respond immediately they might have missed your request because they were busy dealing with something else. also, a know a lot of admins won't kick without "seeing" the situation themselves, so if you request for an AFK'er to be kicked, give the admins a little time to get on your team and assess the situation themselves.

as was said by DrunkenSailor, we do have a general policy on AFK people, so we promise we're doing our best to keep up with it all ;-)

I will generally kick after a little while. I'll pm them and use admin speak first, but I give them a good 5 minutes, which can be a whole round or two in extreme enough cases. If I go AFK I'll let my team know, or am dealing with something on the admin side of things.

I'm REALLY not understanding why we bumped a five month old thread that has already been concluded.

Simply put: When there is an AFK, wait a while. Don't be hasty to get them out of a server. They may just be taking a bathroom break or getting a drink. There is also no real reason to kick an AFK spec from the server when it isn't full. Leave them there until you notice it is full, and then kick them one by one, not all at once.

If the AFK's are having a big impact of the game (Ex: 13-13 with three players AFK), you might want to kick a few if you can't move them to spec to help balance it out before we run people away from the server for lack of action on the issue.
