Badum babum *drums fingers on keyboard* so of in a spur of the moment kind of thing, I've decided with all my glorious knowledge and wisdom to create a thread round 3 a.m. But wouldn't want to bore you with the fascinating and somewhat disturbing details of my sleeping habits so I'll mosey on down to the point.

Just wondering how many people out there in the world of Edgegamers gots their hands in any kind of drawing whether it be those doodles you make on the side of your loose leaf paper when your professor is yammering on bout something you don't give a care about to those artists who take pride in their work and maybe even frame it round the house for a pleasant conversation starter.

Annnnnnd of those people how many of you decided to take a step away from the traditional paper and pencil to take a crack at those awe inspiring drawing programs. Ya know what I'm talking bout!

From the hours you spent looking at the computer screen trying to find any odd complexion in your colorin to those accidental damning mistakes on your layering.

I've got what I like to call the beginner's set - That's right, I got the Wacom Intous! And of course with all the programs it comes with- photoshop 11 elements, a drawing program (it's name escapes me at the moment). I even got a nifty pen!

You probably got Coral Painter. Standard with all Wacom Tablets, except the super State-of-the-art ones. Those come with Photoshop.
If you've some experience already with doodling (traditional)Then I'd suggest doing to side-by-side studies until you get a feel for program tools and the tablet itself.

Thanks for the sites ^^ , especially posemaniacs - hard to find a person willing enough to actually pose for me while I take their picture to. Leads to some funny but embarrassing misconceptions .Yup I've got the Corell but don't particularly feel comfortable in using compared to other programs, particularly paint tool sai. I'm guessing because its more user friendly.

I've done the side by side method earlier but for the most part I just scan the doodle onto the computer to get started right on the line art and coloring. Drawback - no layers to really seperate the different parts.
