I sent this to Valve. Let's see what happens -_-
Dear Mr. Newell,
I wanted to take a moment and address an issue that has been affecting various TF2 Communities for the past few months. There were changes to quickplay earlier in the year that have really harmed community based servers such as Skial, Edge Gamers, Made In Texas, Lotus, Prestige Gaming and Reflex Gamers to name a few here in the US alone. I would like to propose that the matter is looked into and hopefully valve can make a decision that will in the end foster continued growth to an amazing game that has a great community following.
These communities offer servers with all types of maps and range from having strict ethic on player behavior to being a place to find skilled veteran players to a place where players can just meet and have fun. Overall these communities are some of the few that have not given up on supporting TF2 and have had a large player base. However, with the new way quickplay is set up there are major challenges that are being brought about now and simply keeping the servers alive is one of them. It is safe to say that some of these communities may no longer be able continue to support the game as it does cost time and money to operate, more importantly the time of volunteer fans of the game who moderate and admin said servers.
As a Team Fortress 2 player and member of some of its communities, I enjoy having a place to go where I know what to expect as people in said server are normally held to higher standards. An example here would be Edge-gamers, there is no profanity allowed on its servers, they run everything in a professional manner and have laid out the path for many other communities that derived from it. Skial for example has a large load of servers worldwide with many maps being supported. I love the work that has been put out by these communities and would hate to see that all go away, simply because they can't reach a sustainable number of players. This problem did not exist before the quickplay update and one could easily see many servers to pick from instead of being redirected to some random place by default. I reach out to you in hopes that you will give the matter a chance to be heard.
Thank you Mr. Newell for your time and I look forward to seeing some sort of update on this in the future.
Regards,

Also sanct, hope your okay with this but minor edits made (mentions to us basically) and I put your state of tf2 address on reddit. Everyone else be sure to go and UP it!
