Counter-Strike: Source CS Division parts ways with Jail.

As more and more people trend away from the RPG element of CS:S and move onto bigger and better things like CS:GO Comps, we get a lot less activity in our Jail server.

Because of the inactivity over the past few months, the heavy decision was made by the Community Manager team and CS Leadership to shut down the Jail server. There's just not the activity needed to sustain the costs of actually running it.

CS Leadership has tried, on multiple occasions, to do everything in our power to try and bring life into the server. It's just not happening. People grow up, people do other things, whatever the reason is.

Instead of wasting money, we'd like to go ahead and kill Jail and maybe in the future, spend that money on a different server that the CS division and eGO Community would be interested in.

Jail will be fully shut down next Sunday 9-7-2014. Please utilize the server until then.

We thank everyone for supporting Jail over the past many years and we can assure you that this was not an easy decision.

Well, this is some pretty sad news. Jail may not have been my favorite server, but I had a great time there here and then. Personally, I found the loss of Highschool to have been much sadder, but at least Italy lives on.

Jail is where I started eGO. I was with it when it was just a single map, to its first disappearence, to its reappearence, to the two jail server era, back to a single server. Jail will hold a special place in eGO for history for me.

Sad day. I spent my first year of eGO in the Jail Server. It was loads of fun, but it is time to move on sadly.
