Before each attack and defense battle fought during this campaign I took it upon myself to inspire the allied troops with rousing battle speeches. Some were long, some were short, but I selected, what I thought, were some of the greatest war time speeches ever given (fictional mostly).

Here are a few of my personal favourites given.

Defense:
They will break on this fortress like water on rock, they will pillage and burn, we've seen it before... our crops can be re-sown, our homes rebuilt. Within these walls, within this town, we will outlast them! If this is to be our end, then I would have them make such an end to be worthy of remembrance. We are alone, we will not be reinforced. It is here we make our stand! Show them no mercy, for you shall receive none!

Attacking:
Arise, Arise men of the 75th Rangers! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Go now, GO now, GO, TO VICTORY!

Attacking:
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails! But it is not this day! A day may come when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship! But it is not this day! An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand! Men of the 75th! FOR FROOOODO, I mean... uhhh... FOR RUFIOOOOO

Defense:
When I was asked to surrender this town, I answered NO! NOOOOOOOOO!!! I will not sacrifice the town of Troddle. It is too near London! We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our cities, and we fall back. They destroy entire nations, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done!

Attack:

Rufio: O that we now had here
But one ten thousand of those men in England
That do no work to-day!
Me:
What?s he that wishes so?
My cousin rufio? No, my fair cousin;
If we are mark?d to die, we are enow To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour. God?s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more. By Anti, I am not covetous for gold, Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; It yearns me not if men my garments wear; Such outward things dwell not in my desires. But if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my men, wish not a man from England. God?s peace! I would not lose so great an honour As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more! Rather proclaim it, rufio through my host, That he which hath no stomach to this fight, Let him depart; his passport shall be made, And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man?s company That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call?d the feast of realism. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam?d, And rouse him at the name of realism. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say ?To-morrow is Saint realism day.? Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say ?These wounds I had on realism day.? Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he?ll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Anti the King, Rufio and little beer, Chuck Norris and Boyle, GreenBeret and kYuKi- Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb?red. This story shall the good man teach his son; And not a realism shall ne?er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne?er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs?d they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint REALISM day!!!!!!!

Defense:
"Remember us." As simple an order as a general can give. "Remember why we died." For he did not wish tribute or song. No monuments, no poems of war and valour. His wish was simple: "Remember us," he said to me. That was his hope. Should any free soul come across that place, in all the countless centuries yet to be, may all our voices whisper to you from the ageless stones: Go tell the Rangers, passer-by, that here, by Ranger law, we lie. So my general died, and my brothers died... Barely a year ago, long I pondered my general's cryptic talk of victory. But time has proven him wise. For from free Ally to free Ally, the word was spread that bold Ron Paul and his 300... rangers?, so far from home, laid down their lives, not just for America, but for all the West and the promise this land holds! Now, here on this ragged patch of earth called Waffen_ss, Compton's hordes face obliteration! Just there the barbarians huddle, sheer terror gripping tight their hearts with icy fingers, knowing full well what merciless horrors they suffered at the rifles and bayonets of 300. Yet they stare now across the plain at 10,000 rangers commanding 30,000 free allies?! The enemy outnumber us a paltry three to one; good odds for any ranger. This day we rescue a world from mysticism and tyranny, and usher in a future brighter than anything we could imagine! Give thanks, men! To RON PAUL, and the brave 300! To victory!

One !up for anyone who can name the films or literature that some of these speeches came from. As some of you can tell... I kinda got carried away with the last two, but man was it fun!

Thats funny, our speeches went mostly like this.

Stormy:Compton, I think we should do this.
Compton:No, Shut up.
Matz:*In a stupid accent* What about this?
Compton:Shut up. Ham Ham, go out there and find their grenades.

That is why Superglue suddenly after the campaing he went up like a 100 points of rep, just thanks to those speeches

I want to disagree with you, but that really sums it up. :glare:

P.S. Nice speech junk and stuff.

For anyone who's interested, a discussion between Compton and Matz about tactics pre battle defence.

Matz: Can we have all autos in the basement of my team's building?

Compton: No. I'm going to be in there with my MG, ham ham and firez will cover me.

Matz: HAMHAM?!? Can I make some kind of second-in-command decision on this?

Compton: No, I'm making a first-in-command decision on this.

*10 minutes later*

*Skippy kills 3 guys including the MG with nade in basement*

Ahh...those were the days.

I'm pretty sure if we really did have the tie breaker it would of been 2-2 and FFA. Those speeches were amazing though -tears.
