Howsabout a thread where we all share our most outstanding moments?

"Mad plays by Ryan!"

That's what I yelled during one of the coolest combos of my TF2 life.

I was playing with Suspicious Pizza (Because of course), and he was being my pocket medic. We were attacking point A on cp_Steel. Now, the reason we were soldier/medic is to counter a kritz soldier medic on their team, and they were pretty darn good. Me and Pizza could rely pretty well on our team to keep them out of our spawn door, but that was about the extent of their help. So, Pizza Quick-fix ubered me, and we jumped over the wall on the right. I landed pretty much on top of their medic, who had popped kritz, and murdalized the poopy out of him, and then the soldier he was healing. Now we found ourselves in the middle of the enemy team, but we still had about four seconds of uber left. With that I shot my last two rockets, along with a few shells, netting us a few kills. Then tried making our getaway. As it turns out the other team had pushed towards our spawn, and we ran into about four or five of them on our way out. I had reloaded a few rockets by then, so I shot with a rocket, shotgun kill, rocket, shotgun kill. I had only managed to kill one of them before they all turned around and noticed us. At this point I'm pretty much out of loaded bullets. I'm relying 100% on my rocket launcher at this point, just firing a single rocket before having to reload every time. Our uber had ran out just a bit before we had finished cleaning up the out-going enemies. I started loading up my weapons, and Pizza started calling out different classes as he saw them- a new wave of enemies were leaving their spawn area. Shot after shot was fired, and with each one an enemy fell, and throughout the carnage, I shouted "MAD PLAYS BY RYAN! (Which is my IRL name)" pretty much involuntarily, and followed it up with congrats to Pizza as well, because I remembered about him and how it wasn't possible without him. I shot out my last rockets and shells, and by the end of this whole ten or twelve second period, I checked the kill feed and saw that I, with the help of Pizza, had bagged 9 of their 11 players. I've had many, many kill streaks of 9+, but never any in such quick succession so perfectly executed against competent players! Every shot hit it's target exactly as intended! Wow, I really don't like bragging, but I felt like a god!

And then our team never capped A somehow and we lost. Oh well, mad plays were mad!

I killed like 10 guys all in a row, so fast and quick you'd think they were dancing!

now that I think about it I think they were...

i once found an enemy who was flying through the sky, and after some wonderful clicking, they died

I like threads like this. I have been playing TF2 for so long, I almost don't know where to begin. I'll be back with a story or two...

In loving memory of Goyan-Tanuki, may he be missed.

Goyan appeared in the RED spawn room, still panting from his last life. That darned spy had outwitted him, strafing and spinning like a pro and then delicately disposing of Goyan with a matador. He still shivered from the wave surprise and regret that hit him when he realised he had been stabbed.

He stared down at his gun. Sasha had been through a lot today. The minigun was scarred and beaten from previous battles, hardly in battle-worthy condition. Goyan sighed and put away Sasha. There would be a day where Sasha would do her part, but it was not this day. This day she could rest, and Goyan would do all the work himself. He readied his fists, and mentally prepared himself to step outside.

As soon as he exited the spawn room, the announcer reprimanded the RED team for losing the first point. Goyan stepped out into the blazing sun and sandy wind of Egypt. Making a bold stand at the second point. No one would capture this point. He would stop them with his own two fists.

Far away he could hear the screams of his teammates as they were, one by one, dismissed from life by the great warrior of the RNGods, Kazoo. Those screams sent chills down Goyan's spine, but he stood his ground. He knew they were coming, and he would not let them succeed. Far off in the distance, he could make out a figure emerging from the ancient Egyptian ruins. It was the likeness of a BLU pyro, endowed with an unusually festive Christmas tree....on its head. Goyan barely had time to ponder why this tree was so festive and, more importantly, why it was on her head before the pyro was upon him. The great flame warrior wielded a sign, plastered with the blood of her enemies and the sign of her power. It boldly proclaimed to the face of her victims that she was Kazoo, great warrior and demigod of the Crit gods and Division Leader. The standard bore down swiftly on Goyan, who narrowly dodged the strike. With a burst of quick thinking, he launched a powerful uppercut to the jaw of the pyro.

POW!

The great blow was backed by Goyan's ultimate resolve to stand his ground. When his bear fists connected with the face of Kazoo, she was instantly rendered lifeless. The critical hit had taken away all the magic of her lifeblood, and just like that the great warrior was slain.

Goyan stood above his downed opponent in glory, celebrating his victory. However, his mirth was short lived, as a suspicious sniper approached him from behind. He knew this was no ordinary RED sniper, and wasted no time to check him for spies.

WHACK!

The right jab took effect, and immediately the BLU spy undisguised and fell to the sand, limp. Goyan stared at the body with suspicion. That was too easy. He still smelled the blood of a Frenchman. Sure enough, near the entrance of the ruins, the very same spy decloaked, dropping his now-defective Dead Ringer in the sand. Goyan was filled with rage at this spy who dared to evade death and fate, and charged.

All time seemed to slow down, as Goyan bore down on the spy, who was too surprised to move. His eyes slowly widened, as his brain processed his chances of survival. When he overcame his fear, the spy finally tried to move, but it was too late for him. Goyan had reached him, and threw an uppercut into his stomach.

WHAM!

The surprised spy coughed up blood as he was launched into the sky, eventually hitting a wall. The impact made him drop his Black Rose, which clattered to the sandstone floor and broke. His body slip down the wall and hit the ground with an undignified splatter. He had lost his honor.

Goyan was victorious. His fists had won the day, and no one capped the point. He resumed his position as his team rejoined him in defense of their land. He was praised as a hero.

One time I managed to reflect an arrow into a med with full uber.

It was deliberate. I promise.

Sounds awesome, Tokiw. :D

I've been thinking to myself "What was an awesome play I had?" and I'm sure I've had several close calls and victorious taunt kills. (I <3 taunt kills) But something truly awesome? Then last night I remembered, but I forgot to post. ^^;

Anyway, practically a month before the replay system was introduced (Valve, you have awesome timing...), I was at a LAN party at college. We were playing TF2, specifically on arena_granary. I was playing Medic and ended up being the last one alive on RED team. The BLU team still had two Pyros. I tried to keep my distance by using my Crusader's Crossbow, but the two Pyros walked onto the point to force me out. I made my way up to the catwalk/balcony on my team's side and continued shooting arrows at them, but they hid behind the big crates. So I took out my Amputator, jumped down, and rushed at them. Obviously, they used fire. But somehow, I still managed to hit the first pyro, killing him! The second one was right behind him, using his flamethrower as well, but I killed him with one hit, too! The room exploded with cheers and cries of shock as the game ended with me, burning but still alive, winning the game for RED.

One of my best games of Arena ever. (And I really wish Valve had released the Replay update before it happened!)

I get critz, a lot. The end.

ftfy.

So, the RNGods have smiled upon Kazoo since her birth.

Not big surprise.

Ha! Just want to point out that Arena has no random crits! So my most memorable play happens to be one without the RNGods' infamous crits. :P

(You can enable random crits on Arena maps, but I remember we did not have random crits in the LAN game.)

I stabbed kazoo mid rocket jump 'twas good
I'm telling you, it was a dream!

You just "happen" to remember that crit's weren't enabled.... uh huh.
It was such an amazing moment that I wish Replay was available that I remember these details, dear Tanooki.

Plus, the only way to run an Arena server is without random crits and random spread.

Anyway, enough talk of this, other people should share cool stories. :D

This is old, but I don't care. It is still a story of greatness.

Dark clutched his hamshank and sank to his knees. It was done. SnowCanary, the dreaded master of the spawncamp and beloved songster, was dead. The circle was complete: all the leadership members had been slapped to death, their bodies ironically tenderized by a side of delicious ham. Dark X Phoenix had left a trail of broken foes behind him, their corpses littered across the maps and servers of eGO. A single tear slid down Dark's face.

Now he had become a man.

Sanc, I spent forever looking for that story during AP Calc... And I still can't find Kazoo's story.

Heres two more of Sanc's Fan Fics since he seems to be too lazy to post them himself.

As the pubs surged forward toward the midpoint, oblivious to their impending deaths, the lone sniper calmly walked out out into the sunlight. "Ah, granary," said the sniper, in his Authentic Australian Accent?, "perfect opportunity to shoot some scrubs." His rifle was so covered in notches recording his successful headshot kills that it was just one giant notch. Sehpiroth had lost track, but he was confidant that he had aerated enough n00b skulls to depopulate the country of Luxembourg. He jogged after his team and heard the screams of the dying and the gibbed.

He reached the choke and scoped in, immediately drawing a bead on a distracted solder firing indiscriminately (as all soldiers invariably do). Screaming rockets blasted past, but Sephirioth did not care. The blood of the savage Australians was strong in his veins, his power levels were over 9,000, and the Force was with him (did I mention Seph is a Jedi just like Obi-Wan Kenobi?)

Needless to say, the soldier's head vaporized in a crimson shower of blood and viscera, and the angels in heaven sang as Sephrirot strode onto his point. Suddenly, an errant shot pinged off the nearby shipping container, and the god among men, the mightiest of head-clickers, turned to be confronted by an undisguised spy, still clutching his smoking enforcer. As the assassin prepared to fire again, Saphiroth simply smiled.

His kidneys tingled in anticipation.

Just a brief excerpt from "Spring Tiem for Segheroth," my magnum opus.

Steam vented shrieking into the sky, signalling that the penultimate point had fallen to the enemy. From her hidden vantage point, Radio watched with removed disinterest as her allies fell back to the central foundry as the RED team came on in a tide of blasts, bullets and blades. Bellowing demo men and cackling soldiers obliterated the meager attempts at counter attack, and pyros rampaged forward heedlessly spewing their incandescent fury around their new point.

None of that mattered. Despite the deaths of her teammates, the spy smiled to herself and restlessly, silently opened and closed her butterfly knife. Her eyes were locked on the lumbering behemoth in the center of the RED push. His horned and fanged helmet made him look like some caprine nightmare, and his gun looked expensive. Medics trailed after him yelling about medicine and sauerkraut.

She slipped from her hiding spot and tailed the heavy, but before she could close the distance one of the medics popped his uber and then the offensive truly began.

The heavy lunged forward, bursting onto the last point. Despite the best efforts of the BLUs, the horned heavy simply laughed and returned a deadly swath of fire, the defenders' bullet-ridden ragdolls flopping this way and that. As the uber faded he advanced inexorably toward the great burning foundry, standing before it to bask both in the literal and metaphorical glow of victory.

His triumph was woefully short-lived. Radio ignored the babbling medic ("Ich liebe schnitzel! Gude! Ya!!") and went straight for the distracted heavy. Effortlessly she perforated his spine with her knife even at the moment of victory. The medic gaped in horror as the assassin casually booted the horned helmet into the burning flames of the foundry with a smirk and turned towards him.
"May I cut in?"

My first game with the eGO Comp 6's team a couple weeks ago. Gullywash.

Our team wiped, and I was pretty much left alone, blasted behind enemy lines. As a Medic, I was positive I would be hunted down and killed... But no one chased. I ran up behind them, and got THREE ubersaw kills on the Roamer, then Pocket, then Scout.

I was promptly blown up by their demo, but I still felt really good about it. #MedicPowerPlays
