Tech Help New Laptop

So I recently got a new laptop, its not the best of things but its better in 90% of the stuff than my previous deskptop PC.

So to the matter at hand, this laptop has a Intel HD Graphics card 4000, it has almost 2gb of VRAM but you using can you run it and stuff it says it only has 32mb of alocated memory, that is even lower to play CS:S is low settings so the question is:

Is there a way to make that alocated memory higher or does the computer automatically adjusts it if needed?

One thing you might want to consider with HD4000 is this...

The more ram your laptop has, the better. Big points if you're running your ram in dual channel mode.

That 32mb allocated is dynamically expanded on a per need basis via the intel driver. You cannot set a fixed amount for it, unless you see the option to in your bios. Then again, it should max out at 128mb, and won't do zit in difference.

My laptop has dual graphics, including a variant of the hd4000 (4600 i think) and when im out without a power source, i can play bfbc2 campaign in rather decent quality at 25-30fps. So my guess is yeah, more ram my friend.
