While yes it is another day alive and we don't think much of it, we should be. Mainly because today is 9/11. We will never forget the 2,977 lives lost that day, of those 2,977, 343 of them were firefighters either int the building rescuing people or on the ground giving orders on how to end the flames, or evacuating the civilians on the ground. That is just the towers, mat the pentagon, because of this, they ordered a code red, aka evac. A little inside on me and my seriousness to this day, my father was at the pentagon at the time of the attacks. The last words he said to my grandmother on the phone before he was knocked unconscious by the impact was oh eff(guess the word), they hit the pentagon.

I was off work that day, and I remember waking to a radio announcement that a commercial airline had hit one of the WTC towers. This was before they knew it was a terrorist attack. they all thought it was an accident at first. While everyone sat and watched in amazement at the flames, damage and carnage to the first tower, then the second plane crashed into the second tower and that's when we all said WTF!!!!!!!!!! This is no accident!!!!!!! I still get chills thinking about that day. It was another day that will live in infamy in this country. God Bless America and God Bless the people that died that day. Never Forget.

Despite how I feel on some of the issues around 9/11, I can still say this was a very sad day. The death of 2,000 people in such a short amount of time is just depressing to think about. May all who have died find peace in the afterlife, if there is one.
