This game is freaking AMAZING, i played through the fire and flames, it....was.....NUTS!!!!... ONLY $10.00!! You guys should download the demo!! its really quick tbh... tell me what you think!

Ride your music.

Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose. You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.

Audiosurf on Steam includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable"Still Alive"surfing and more. In addition, Audiosurf is one of the first titles to leverage the recently announced Steamworks, offering full support for the Steam Achievements that appear on Steam Community profile pages.

Play with any music from your own collection--the game supports MP3s, iTunes M4As, WMAs, CDs and OGGs
Valve's The Orange Box Original Soundtrack is included.
Online scoreboards for each song you play.
Choose your strategy from 14 available characters.
Track your progress as Steam Achievements.

ya it looks really good and my best friend says he loves it, and bought full game immediately

im about to try demo now ^.^

It's a fun game, especially for only $10. It's definitely a good game to have when you just want to play something for 10 minutes or, although I can already see it might be addictive.

wonder how my ride will be with all of my hardcore stuff =D

Try "Eine Neue Welt" by Terrormasta, and also "Hunt for the Weak" by Bonehead. Those two should get you all nice and excited and twitchy. It's intense.

I'm having a blast! Plus, you can have it email you every time someone beats your high score on a song. I love that feature, gives me something to play for rather than just for fun. It does come with The Orange Box soundtrack, and all those songs are really fun to play. Ten bucks, people! Check it out!

Just to let everyone know, if you bought the game, but it still acting like the demo, just exit and restart Steam, and then it will be unlocked. I know this happened to me and one other person already.

It seems so much fun. I think I'm gonna buy it, gotta try the demo first though. The computer here at dad's house couldn't handle the demo!

This game I absolutely love. This is one amazing game I love playing as a ninja mono and the Elite Pointman.

I am downloading the demo now, this game looks interesting, it could be quite fun.

i used up the demo, and the game is AMAZING! I will for sure buy it asap :D

first song i did was boten anna, and it was awesome! xD

To be honest, this may be the best 10 bucks I've ever spent on a game. Yes, it's buggy(sometimes, stage doesn't load, only the backgound), but it's an awesoem indie effort nontheless. I hope they'll add new characters when people masters those we have, but first of all it needs a bugfix. Other than that, it's great. It supports any file format that matters(:p), and I like the inclusion of the insane achievemnts. 30.000 points a minute? Better practice on some Dragonforce.

ya i was gunna post about what troth said, kinda made me mad, thought i was gunna have to buy the game again :S

It's a hard game, but it's very fun to play. (Hard 'cuz I don't seem to get very many matches in pointman mode)

I have a thread on this in the Entertainment board, by the way.

Got it yesterday, I've been having so much fun!

Audiosurf and Portal are basically my getaways from the other games. Good stuff!

Well I downloaded the demo and have a couple warnings. DO NOT play in window mode. It's buggy as hell. I was kind of surprised that a retail game could be that bad. But I switched it into fullscreen and it seemed fine.

I tried to load an hour long techno radio show into it (just to see if I could) but it said it was too big ;) O'well. I then tried Filter's Welcome to the Fold and it was a blast. At one point in the song it slowly climbs, like a roller coaster, and then drops you. Very fun. I also tried it with a slower song, Zero 7 Destiny, which was a little boring actually ;)

So I think if you're going to play, play with faster music with lots of variation. Linkin Park would be another good band to try.

Actually, slow songs work really well if they're not also monotone. Queen plays really well and is actually rather hard as most of the songs involve not being able to see what is coming more than a few blocks ahead.
