I was just on the Warpath server when someone, not an eGO gamer, complained that building on the roof of point2 was an exploit.
I don't consider this an exploit, particularly in light of genuine exploits that trash the gameplay of others such as under-the-map and sticking a door with a scout exploits. The gun can pretty easily be shot off by a soldier or a sniper, or a determined demoman with powered-up stickies from the ridge corridor. Also, the same building can be constructed on the opposite team's point2 roof.
We'd even used this on both sides during our =(e)= vs. =(eG)= scrim without complaint.
But, I was wondering if there was any official decision for this pertaining to pub gaming on the Warpath server. I've done it, I've seen other e's up through eGO's do it, but I'd hate to cross a line even if others have done. (That's right mom, even if they jump off the bridge, I don't have to.)
Any idea?
