Hello TF2 Division!
The Recruitment Hosts have something very, very special to share with you all. Some of you may have noticed that there has been a "mystery event" on the calendar all month.
It's now time to reveal!
The mystery event is TF2 Appreciation Night and will take place this Tuesday, September 23rd from 7-9pm Central time.
It is with great honor that we use this night to celebrate the division, its members and the game that has brought us all together.
We sincerely hope that you will stop by and enjoy this night with us. Leadership will be speaking briefly and we have some games and prizes lined up for the first hour.
We invite you to get ready for the big event by thinking about your fondest memories of TF2. We will be sharing some of these stories at the event.
In the second hour, we will join the Event server for some fun and bounties on leadership.
This is a one-of-a-kind event that has never been done before and we really hope to see as many of you as possible. If you can't make it, the first hour will be recorded for your listening later.
I have been playing TF2 since it came out but never before eGO have I had the opportunity to play with such a great group of people. We are more than just some people playing a game together - we are family. We laugh, we cry, we win, we lose... sometimes we disagree. But at the end of the day, we look out for one another. You all are like that friend who tells you when you leave the bathroom with toilet paper stuck to your shoe (and then bring it up and laugh for years after).
Some of you are like the brothers (and sisters) I never had. Some of you are like the creepy uncle who sleeps on the couch and eats all our food, but we love you anyway.
We've lost some members. We've lost some servers. But we're still here and through every trial, we grow stronger. I love to see how passionate you guys are about this division and your favorite servers. I love to see how passionate you are about the friendships you have formed here. That is why this is more than "just a game". That is why this is more than "just a community".
And that is why this division is DABES!
Tuesday, we will celebrate all that is great about Team Fortress 2 Division.
Members of other divisions are also welcome to attend. If you want to show your appreciation for TF2, our division and our members, come on out and join the fun!
