RIP Our Childhood

Does this mean they killed that insanely horribad company 4Kids? (yes I know they're *technically* dead, but still)

:(I honestly can not believe this
to think first the pledge of alliance to the flag every morning in school
than they remove recess in schools and arts class
now this
what is America coming too ?

it's a sad day in America indeed

will always remember my mornings watching cartoons with my brother
my favorite 3 will always be He Man GI Joe and Transformers cause there were so many good ones back than

I'm gonna go cry in a corner now:(:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I never got up early enough to watch the Saturday morning cartoon block, I much preferred to watch Toonami at night :D

I liked to do both Balth, I'd usually watch something like Sonic X or Yugioh, even Dragonball Z or TMNT.

Last time I got early up enough to watch those shows was with my friend Dave, we were watching Sonic X for a while.

That was a while ago.

Cartoon Network wasn't around in the 80's.

Back then, we watched Cartoons on Saturday Morning. And maybe an hour of Tom-n-Jerry or Bugs Bunny after school.

I remember when Cartoon Network was "born". I thought it was an outstanding ideal. A channel dedicated to JUST cartoons? And not silly Cat-n-Mouse ones?

Now there are many channels who's entire lineup is aimed at kids and "young teens". I'm surprised the Saturday Block as made it this long.

Man, I remember in my house in Virginia, all we had(and still have) is the main 3 channels, and me and my brother would rush to the tv and watch those blocks, man o man was it the peak of the day.

The thing was, Saturday morning cartoons were the only form of cartoons for kids who did not have cable TV.

I remember growing up out in the sticks so all I had was basic broadcast (antenna TV).
Was not till I was nine or ten did we get satellite and was able to watch Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

Might be from nostalgia but I had great memories of Saturday morning cartoons and I for one I'm sad to that they are gone.

Dude, don't you go hating on Tom-n-Jerry. That cartoon is one of the greatest ever.

The Animaniacs were amazing. Way ahead of their time. Sooo much of it was really geared towards adults.

"Good night everybody!"

Man I remember waking up early to watch KidsWB lol. Back before it became CW. All of favorite cartoons were on then. Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Jackie Chan Adventures, Shaolin Showdown, Batman, Tom and Jerry, Cubix (they failed the first try and some years later they tried to pass it off as new again lol), etc... Man the good old days. What I wouldn't give to be a kid again.

I'm sorry, but why has nobody mentioned Samurai Jack?

Because it was not part of the Saturday morning cartoon non cable programing?

Nobody said it was limited to non cable channels :p If you want to talk about my opinion of Saturday morning cartoons, feel free to get with me on TS lol.
