If I go, it'll be last minute because that's how I do. :) Mrs. Greazy is always up for a Vegas run and it has been a couple years since we've been back. Our last internet meetup in Vegas was 1997 :)
Was Al Gore and Bill Gates there??? :P

I had dial-up then. Played Descent, Quake, and started HL in 1999 on my Pentium 133. Ah, those were the days...................

Vegas Trip current saved bank balance: $200.00

Bump! I would like to know who is still seriously interested. We will be getting a final headcount in late April (roughly 6 months before we leave). As of right now we are shooting for Oct. 22nd (Thursday) through Oct. 26th (Monday). We also are still looking into where we should stay. So any suggestions would be awesome.

Wouldn't miss it!!!

I'll be there. Just don't stay at Circus Circus =\ It's actually better to get a hotel outside of Vegas and drive in for the day to hit the shows / casinos. That's been my experience anyway.

Most of the rooms at the casinos you're going to want to double up with someone. You're looking at some of the lowest rooms for $120 a night.

I'd love to go! Wish I would have seen this thread way earlier so I could have started to save the money lol

I am still in. Cant speak for Bigbird, but I assume he is as well, since we are driving.

If this was during the summer I would be there. >_<

If you stay off the strip (Hard Rock for example) you're going to get a much nicer room for the money... BUT it's great to actually be really close (esp. if you partake in the free booze on the casino floors). The Luxor is on the end of the strip and it is pretty decent as well as relatively cheap for what you get. Another option is to stay at a sweet place (like Aria, Venetian, Palazzo, etc...) during the weekdays and get a cheaper place for the weekends when the rates go up.

Always try the "front desk sandwich" when you check in, it has gotten me multiple upgrades on a couple of occasions. Simply put a $20 or $50 between your CC and ID when you check in and hand to the clerk. Sometimes they will slip it under the keyboard and "find an upgrade for you", but if they cannot they give it back most of the time ;) .

I'll be 21, Vegas is a few hour drive from Riverside, and I can skip a few days of school and work. Now, time to properly save $

Wheres has this been all my life?? Nobody has ever given me a Front Desk Sandwhich :(

Ps. be nice to the Front Desk agent and dont try to sneak 20 guests when you're only paying for 1 person.
