Who's the most interesting (or memorable) person you have met, and why?

That?s a very good question. Because of my job, I have met many well-known people and professionals in their field and it?s hard to pick just one. I met softball Olympian Jennie Finch and she is such a sweet, wonderful and talented person who continues to give back to the world, especially youth and young girls, every day. She?s an inspiration. The same for Olympian Apolo Ohno. He is soft-spoken, kind and a truly inspiring. He is very passionate and dedicated and proves that hard work and determination really pay off. One reason he got into skating at a young age was that he was raised by his single father who wanted him to be involved in positive hobbies. I was also able to meet my writing mentor (he?s now my Facebook friend haha) and we communicate regularly. I looked up to him since I was about 11 or 12 years old so that was a special connection and he still continues to teach me a lot today.

I have many stories of many people but the one who has had the most memorable impact on me is a little girl named Adalia Rose who has progeria. Progeria is a rare genetic disorder that creates symptoms of rapid aging, which begins at a very young age. There is no cure and no treatment has proven very effective, although medical science has found some ways to slow the progression of the condition. Unfortunately, very few people with progeria live past 12-13 years old. But Adalia doesn?t let it slow her down. She is active and spunky and has a great outlook on life (despite the fact that hers will probably be very short). She is a huge advocate for awareness of progeria, posting photos and videos of herself online (with help of her family), attending events and doing fundraising, in spite of the fact that people tease and bully her over her looks. She?s important to me because here is someone that many would have marked for death and she is out there making a difference, making the most of every day she has and leaving the world a better place than it was before her- ALL while dealing with the daily struggles of having a fatal condition. If she can do all of that in her young life, then why can?t I make a difference to those I come in contact with? She makes me want to be a better person every day and she also reminds me how fragile life really is and that any day it could all be taken away from us and would any of those little petty things really matter?

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Choose your next words wisely...

At the risk of being beheaded, Star Wars. However, I do like them both and some time back I actually wrote a blog post about that very topic (how people can be fans of both equally) but if I have to choose, I?m definitely more of Star Wars geek.

If you could eat a color, what color would you eat?

Purple. Purple looks yummy!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Do you plan on shouldering the burden of DL by yourself, or do you think you'll have a co-DL soon?

Oh I like Jawneh's question :D
What has been your favorite memory in eGO?

Oh, another hard question. I have many great memories like the PSC meeting where we ?raised our dongers? ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ and Dead Tom just shook his head at the shenanigans, the night the TF2 Division became the Doge Division on TS (I think I have a screenshot of that somewhere) and making heavy towers while trying to fill Dustbowl. So many good times and I look forward to many more on the way.

AMA-RickRolled!

Favorite flavor of ice cream?

Nothing like a little Rick Astley in the morning!

My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip but I don?t have it very often. Usually if I have ice cream, I have soft serve hot fudge sundaes.

Favorite animal?

a cat

(I also like frogs)

How's being a DL compared to Advisor?
Great question! In some ways, it?s no different at all. We?re all still part of the same leadership team. In other ways, there are some key differences. For example, Advisors are usually in charge of specific areas of the division (or game, in the case of OP:X) and DLs kind of oversee everything.

There are some extra permissions/responsibilities. And DLs act as kind of a go-between of the Comm Mgr -> Advisors. If the advisors need something (access, permissions, giveaways and prizes, approval for new events, etc) the DLs are the ones to approve it or run it up the leadership chain, as needed.

There's also planning and organizing things like ARTs and monthly divisional meetings. So there's no shortage of things to do.

What is your favorite pizza topping?

I go with the classic pepperoni. Unless we?re counting cheese- then definitely cheese!

What is your plan for conquering all other divisions so that the Hat Empire can become reality?

If the next time you were to select a class in TF2 and you turned into that class for life. What class would you hope it would be and why?

You wouldn't know that this was gonna happen before hand

Hmmm? hard to choose just one but I would say the medic because I could heal, help and support others.

How do you pronounce my name: Mah-gus, May-Jus, or Mah-Goose?

May-gus

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

He'd chuck the wood that a woodchuck COULD chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood

Have you been in any previous clans before this?

Not really, at least not like eGO. I was part of a TF2 gaming community but it wasn?t a clan. It was a group of servers my friend ran and it became really popular in the early TF2 days and I helped admin the servers and forums, beta test plugins and mods and we had a comp team for awhile back then, too.

I?ve been in a few MMORPG guilds and even led my own from time to time over the years (did a LOT of WoW raiding back in the day) and I played PS2 with a well-known clan that I ended up also playing SWTOR with but for the most part, I never liked to tie myself to one place.

I take a long time to commit to something and when I do, I?m in it 150%. So that?s kind of what happened here. ;)

Do you plan on shouldering the burden of DL by yourself, or do you think you'll have a co-DL soon?

Great question! That decision is not mine to make alone. Community Managers pick the DLs. Eventually, there will be another DL. It?s always helpful to have two people sharing that role for a division. In the near future, however, there are no plans to add another DL just yet. For now, I have a lot of support from the advisors and Wilson, as well as support from all of the Comm Mgrs and above. So I feel confident we?ll be just fine for now, until a new DL is appointed.

What is your plan for conquering all other divisions so that the Hat Empire can become reality?

If I told you that, I'd have to kill you.

(Meet me out back in the secret spot and don't forget the password.)

What is an AMA thread what is that about and besides you look different then How I imagined ya lol

It stands for Ask Me Anything and it's popular on Reddit and sometimes in communities so people can get to know one another better. So you can ask me questions and I'll answer them here. :)

Everyone always says I look different than how they imagined. I don't know if that is good or bad.

If you could tell your child self to do ONE thing, what would it be? Would it be to learn an instrument? Ask that boy to Prom? Save the world from devastation (to protect all people in your nation)?

It has to be asked:

Cake or pie?

And, to break away from the superficial: why?

What address would the elephant's room have? would it be large enough to require its own zip code?
