With Hera and Nuedar expecting a new addition to their family, a thread on things kids say seemed appropriate. Nonparents will probably still be very amused.

Today Bubbles and my adorable 4 year old were shopping, and an elderly lady walked by with an eye patch on. My little one promptly announces confidently, "Look, Mom, a pirate!"

HA omg my cousin the other day is three and 2 months ago she let my dog out and we luckily caught him and just now he recently died of liver cancer (poor thing) and she said as she was leaving one day We wont have to worry about him getting out now! (I thought it was funny at the time)

my little sisters when they were young said quite a lot of hilarious things.... I always found the cursing ones to be the funniest simply because they were like 2 or 3 years old...

my favorite was when the oldest one always tried to climb up on the couch and she'd always fall off and you could just hear her saying "damn" to herself each time she did it lol

My little brother talks about his constipational rights all the time. Hurray for politically active households! <3

Well im the yongest of 3 so lots of bodly injuries and indean giving might accure with your first boy having direct athority over his yonger brothers or sisters when the perants are away...at least thats the way i see it. "Mom!/Dad! he/she wont let me play TF2 on the pc"

Constipational rights! That's really funny. As for cussing, my younger brother (not Dangerdad!) finally realized he needed to watch his mouth when my sister, 5 years old at the time, looked out the front door and saw that my Dad had gone to run an errand. Her comment was, "S---! Daddy took the d--- car!" He stopped cussing and so did she.

Hera purchased some Dried Mangos recently and our 4-year old loved them. One day she wanted some and asked Hera for some "dried flamingos".

We were at dinner one night with Hera's parents and some of their friends (15 or so people) and my daughter says "excuse me". I thought she was trying to get my attention so I said "What do you need?". She replied with "Nothing, I just tooted."

Some friends of mine told me about when their daughter was about 3, playing at a friend's house. The friend's mom was saying, "Oh, this stupid washer!" My friend immediately said, "We don't say stupid in our house."
The mom said, "Oh? What do you say in your house?"
She said, "We say damn and hell."

I was probably six or so when this happened. I remember going into the dentist's office, and the dentist's assistant came in to clean my teeth, as usual. She always took FOREVER, but then the actual dentist came in, did his checking for about a split second, then he cleared me to leave. This was the resulting conversation:

Me: Wait... who makes more money?
Dentist, blushingly: Well... I, you know... make a bit more money...
Me: But why?! She does all the work!!

I remember them telling my mom and the three of them laughing about it, I was so confused! It made such perfect sense.

ok to share a hilarious event from my own childhood my mother shared with me when i was like 15

so anyway im like 4-6 maybe and im going to the post office with my mother for the first time
well aparently i was a shelterd child of dallas as we were in line behind aparently the first mexican i had ever seen when i tug on my moms arm...

needless to say afer a few apologies from my mom and dirty looks at me we exited the building lol

...that's ridiculous
ok when i was about 3 and my dad's boss was either on the phone or at the door and my dad was in the bathroom so when he asked where he was or what he was doing i simply replied "He's pooping."
And then my sister when she was 5 and I was 6 eagerly tried tot ell everyone in the grocery store one day that I was constipated...><

Oh, man. These are some great stories. The other day as we were leaving a building my 4 year old was walking along a raised curb that had no sidewalk on either side. I was surprised and said, "Great balancing!"

She looked up at me and cool as a cucumber said, "It's a gift."

When I was 5, I was walking with my family in a park and we walked past an elderly lady walking the opposite direction. I innocently looked up, pointed, and said, "Mom! She has a mustache!"

The other day my almost three year old and my wife were at a store and a good looking teenager was walking by and he looked at her and said "She's my favorite!" My wife said she stared at him wondering if she heard him right and just then a woman came around the corner with a LOW cut shirt and was well endowed as well as beautiful and he said "Oh no, SHE'S MY FAVORITE!" I have no idea where he got that from, but that didn't look good on my part. haha I swear I didn't teach him that though. !dodge

Yeah, he's always been a big flirt and attracts some really pretty women. (Wish I had that gift!) We get all kinds of free food at restaraunts from the waitresses he charms and he even gets little presents from some of them. He got a big valentines bag from a waitress from a restaraunt we go to about once a week and she said he's her favorite and he just had to do something for him. lol I'm going to have my hands full when he becomes a teenager. Blonde hair, blue eye, sweet kid. Gonna be a heart breaker. !shy
