BF4 system stats

Hi all,

I have an opportunity to get BF4 at a somewhat more reasonable cost (about $20) then I've seen. Checking the system requirements, it appears that my computer should run it just fine.

However, when I got BC2 my computer was also supposed to run it just fine and it wasn't until I upgraded my system last year that the game really ran without sputtering or bizarre graphics, lowering my frustration and raising my k/d.

So, if you play BF4, and it runs smoothly, what type of system do you have?

Hi pappa I have a amd but with the netcodes bf4 is messed up now like laggy
 
i have a phenomII 955 denab BE x4 3.2
gtx 660
8gig ram

It plays pretty smooth for me considering my old processor , I'm able to play the game on high settings..
 
My system is in my signature below and it plays pretty flawless unless there is a server issue.

What you do is enter the name of the game then hit "Can you Run it" - select which method you want to see if you can run it, or if you just want to see the games' recommended requirements, select the 3rd option.

Depending on your Java/Plugin settings, if you choose the 1st option it might block the attempt and you'll have to allow it (If using chrome, you can do this by clicking the puzzle piece that appears on the far right side of the URL bar next to the bookmark star and either select Always allow or Allow this once)

But in answer to your question - I only played BF4 once, and as I recall it worked fine with these specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Video Card: GeForce GTX 645
RAM/Memory: 16 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit

For the video card, the above website I mentioned also has the following Minimum 'attributes':

Icon Pixel Shader version 4.0 - Have 5.0
Icon Vertex Shader version 4.0 - Have 5.0
Icon Dedicated Video RAM 512 MB - Have 1.0 GB

If you post your system. The people here would be able to tell you how or if you can run it.
systemrequirementslab is kinda crap in my eyes
Said I meet the minimum on Shadow of Mordor but not the recommended? (processor was not good enough)
Pft currently playing on ultra with 60+ fps so yeah...
Also said I don't meet the recommended settings on BF4 because I don't have windows 8 lulz.

I have an AMD Phoenom II Black Edition 965 (?) 3.4ghz quad-core, 8gb ram, tb wd black box drive, ATi Radeon 7750 series x@ crosfired.
I can run ultra.....depending on the maps, just sometimes I get hit with a frame rate drop.
 
Phenom X6 running OC'd to 4ghz, 8gig RAM and an (old) GTX 580 running on a crappy LCD monitor at High settings.

I get great frame rates, game loading takes a while but I have it on a standard WD harddrive.
 
my previous build ran it flawless on ultra single screen, and that was a core i7 3820,32gigs of ram and a radeon 7970. on 3 monitors id get framerates drop below 15 at times.

I had well in excess of minimal requirements for BC2 when I first got it, but it still ran like crap.

I have an I5-3570 processor, with 10 Gigs of RAM. (Someone told me that going to I7 was lots of money for not a lot of extra performance, if any.)
There's a 2MB video card in there, but I don't have the actual card ID written down anywhere convenient.
The whole thing runs on Windows 8.1, and I use a game accelerator to shut down lots of extra processes when I'm playing.

BC2 is supposed to run at 60 fps, but every once in a while will drop down to 10-20 fps, for no apparent reason. I get one or two second frame freezes a couple times a week as well. I don't think this is a system issue, but if it is, and that's how BC2 runs, then BF4 will be terrible.
 
If your computer is just a couple of years old I'd honestly stay away from BF4. I had to upgrade my not so old 550 ti that ran BF3 perfectly smooth at High/Ultra to something completely new in the radeon r9 category because BF4 was super choppy and unplayable. The processor speeds also matter with this game as it punches the hell out of all your cores. I'd say buy it anyways because the game is pretty awesome, I don't think Hardline will be any better tbh.

64 - bit Windows 7 PRO
GTX 680 Ti
250 GB Samsung EVO SSD only OS and BF4 installed (rest is installed on 2 TB Samsung KMR HDD)


on ultra settings I still run 92 - 120 fps including recordings with fraps
 
Core i5 2380@3ghz, 16 gb ram @1333 mhz, gtx 660 run BF4 on ultra, I have no issues barring what the server brings

Right now at 1080p on ultra settings using the AMD Mantle API, I'm getting 60-80 FPS consistently.
