I am reading more Go books from Kiseido (Second book of Go, The Great Wall...). Mainly because after two years, I'm still a scrub at this game.

I've been meaning to order Ulysses by James Joyce, because it's apparently a super hard book, and I love a challenge.

I was going to suggest reading Joyce's letters as well, but on second thought...

You should avoid them.

Now reading The Last Dragon series by Chris d'Lacey - I like to read the same books that my boys are reading so we can talk about them. :)

I finished the Unwind dystology (a term coined by the author). It is an amazing four part series. :D

In this dystopian future, all life is sacred from the time of conception up until 13 years old. Afterwards, parents can retroactively abort an unwanted or deviant child by the process called "unwinding". Essentially, every piece of the child is harvested as organ donations. It is accepted in society because government and scientists explain that since each body part of the child is still alive, the child is alive. Just in a divided state.

The story follows three Unwinds who try to escape their fate. It is my favorite series so far, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Also been revisiting the classic "The Outsiders". Probably going to read various writings from Leon Trotsky afterwards (I have a very open political mind).

"Way of Kings" and "Words of Radiance" - both by Brandon Sanderson.

Good books. I'm hoping he manages to release them a little more quickly, now that he's finished with the Wheel of Time.

And the Steelheart series.... and the Rithmatist series.... and he's doing more in the Mistborn/Alloy of Law world too, I think? I pretty much love everything I've read that he's written, but it would be nice if he'd just. finish. SOMETHING. :)

My parents bought me "The Rowan" and "Damia" by Anne Mccaffrey for my birthday but I will not start reading them before I am out of the army. I have read alot of her books and find them fantastic for people who like sci-fi and fantasy.

Dragon riders of pern series (Fantasy)
Talent series (Sci-fi)
Acorna series (Sci-fi)

Just to name a few of her awesome series that I have read.

I just finished Fahrenheit 451 and Lord of the Flies. I'm planning on reading the Raven's Shadow series next (fantasy) and after that I'll probably re-read The Silmarillion by Tolkien and the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Just finished the Cask of Amontillado by EAP.
I read it for my English class, we're gonna go over it on Monday because I'm a little confused with the ending.

Good story, definitely one of his better ones.

And I'm curious what you don't get about the ending.

Once upon a time, there was this dude. He was jealous of his friend. So he lured his friend into a cellar with word of Amontillado (an expensive wine) and then locked him in there forever.

The end.

My Language Arts class recently finished The Scarlet Letter. Really great book, and it has a message that's quite easily applicable to modern life today in regards to how one should deal with their faults.

I recently read Outlander. It was cool for 3/4 of the book and the last quarter was a snoozer. I don't recommend it. I do highly recommend Saga and Y the Last Man for comics, though. Those are awesome. Saga is NSFW though.

Just finished my bazillionth re-read of Stephen King's The Eyes of the Dragon. I've adored that book since I was young. Need to find something new to read next!
