Well, after much thought, I'm looking at getting a new keyboard. Now I know the Logitech G15 is supposed to be awesome, but I really don't care that much about the LCD screen, nor do I really hardcore game THAT much. So I'm looking at the Logitech G11, which as far as I know is very similar to the G15 minus the LCD screen and some other minor things. And it's $30 cheaper than a G15. Thoughts?

How important are those extra keys to you? I had a G15 and set it aside in favor of a MS Natural 4000. As much as I liked those definable keys, the straight line keyboards just aren't comfortable. Can't get much more comfortable than the Natural 4000.

Nemo, the way I look at it, if you have the $30 to spend, and can see a time where you'll make use of the LCD, then go for it. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. (I should write fortune cookies!)
Here's the sad thing...I can build a computer blindfolded and know more about computers than a lot of people. Yet, I've never been taught how to type correctly. I can type about 50-60 wpm but I'm all over the place. They should call me the fastest hunter/pecker in the West. I can also type mostly without looking but like I said, I'll hit stuff with my left hand that normally you'd hit with your right...weird I know. I also game using the arrow keys and the keys adjacent to it, not your typical WASD to move. So, if I decide to get a gaming keyboard, then I'll learn to do it the correct way.

everyone always ask me how i get anywhere like this but i been usin this config since quake befor tf came out and its always served me well
i love my g15 though i monitor cpu mem temp connection, server stats and media player all through it

The G15 can be found for lower than that. I think I got mine for 50-60 dollars. Also, Logitech updated the G15 to be a bit smaller, and much nicer looking. I don't know if they did anything to the G11.
OK I guess since they updated it it's not available at lower prices. Oh well.

I type like that too, I only use a few fingers on my hands, but I type alot faster.
As for getting a keyboard, if money isn't that much of an issue grab the G15. Otherwise stick with the G11.
Personally the only thing I'd ever use the extra keys for are various binds, such as telling people to watch their language and whatnot. (Even though we're not suppose to be using those, I believe they're helpful!)
